Mission 7, Reckoning, in Neon White has ten levels, and each one hides a gift. Most gifts sit off the normal route and require you to save or discard a specific Soul Card to reach them. Fuse works differently: it asks for two tokens and a side mission, and the reward is a strange coin rather than a standard gift. This guide spoils the level routes, so skip ahead only if you want the answers.
Mission 7 gift overview
The levels run in this order: Bubble (7-1), Shield (7-2), Overlook (7-3), Pop (7-4), Minefield (7-5), Mimic (7-6), Trigger (7-7), Greenhouse (7-8), Sweep (7-9), and Fuse (7-10). The 100% Guides video on YouTube timestamps them in the same sequence, from Bubble at 00:00 to Fuse at 04:33.

Why the routes depend on Soul Cards
Soul Cards are combat items in Neon White, and Nintendo’s official store listing describes them as cards that can be discarded for movement abilities. That discard mechanic is behind nearly every gift route in Mission 7, so the card you hold at a given moment often matters as much as spotting the gift itself. The color-to-ability pairings used across these routes are:
- Purple/Purify: climbing to high ledges, as in the Bubble building and the Sweep roof.
- Blue/Godspeed: dashing across gaps, as in Pop, Overlook, and Mimic.
- Red/Fireball: dashing upward, as in Trigger and Fuse.
- Yellow/Elevate: hopping to extra height, as in Minefield, Overlook, Greenhouse, Sweep, and Fuse.
- Green/Stomp: breaking a barrel in Overlook and leaving the Greenhouse in one route.
Level-by-level routes
7-1 Bubble
Keep going until you reach the bubble with two Ringer Demons, then turn back. Enter the open window of the building that holds the gift, and use a Purple/Purify card to climb up to it. Both GGRecon and Indie Game Culture describe this return route and card-assisted ascent.

7-2 Shield
Shield is the level the written guides handle least well. Indie Game Culture points readers to a level-specific video rather than writing out the steps, and the GGRecon listing names the level without a complete route in its readable text. Follow the 100% Guides video, “Neon White Mission 7 (Reckoning) All Gift Locations,” published on YouTube on June 21, 2022, for the movement sequence.
7-3 Overlook
Overlook is a multi-step route near the end of the level, and GGRecon’s written version runs in this order:

- At the section with traps and a vending machine, clear the enemies while shooting the first explosive barrel.
- Take Elevate from the vending machine.
- Discard the Elevate card to reach a Stomp card.
- Use Stomp on the next barrel, then collect Godspeed from the Blue Demon.
- At the finish checkpoint, turn around and use Godspeed plus Elevate to cross the gap.
- Jump across the remaining platforms to reach the gift.
Indie Game Culture also warns that this gift has several steps, so check the video if any jump doesn’t line up.
7-4 Pop
Preserve one Blue/Godspeed card instead of spending it on the Blue Demon and barrel section. At the end of the level, turn right and dash twice to reach the gift. GGRecon describes a different approach that uses a saved Purify card for a bomb jump, followed by Godspeed to cross to the gift. The sources differ on card terminology and sequence, so choose the version that matches the cards you still have at that point.

7-5 Minefield
Play until you defeat the level’s Blue Demon. Instead of dashing toward the ending portal, turn around and dash toward the gift. GGRecon also places the gift beyond the normal route and calls for an Elevate card after the second barrel.
7-6 Mimic
At the plant-pot section, use the pots to climb to the top of the structure and line up with the platforms. Dash across with a Blue/Godspeed card, then use the platforms to parkour to the gift. GGRecon describes a closely related route: use Godspeed to cross from the third pot to the fourth, then jump across the arches.

7-7 Trigger
The gift sits on a high pillar near the spawn area, so you can see it from the start. The two Balloon Demons give you two Red/Fireball cards. Use them to dash upward and toward the gift.
7-8 Greenhouse
Reach the end of the level while keeping a Yellow/Elevate card. Indie Game Culture’s route says to leave the greenhouse with a Green/Stomp card, avoid using Yellow to reach the next platform so it stays available for the gift, then use Red/Fireball and Yellow/Elevate quickly. GGRecon describes a different sequence: discard a Fireball and make a well-timed Elevate hop near the end, after avoiding an obvious Elevate use earlier. Treat these as alternatives rather than steps to combine.

7-9 Sweep
The gift is in a high tower near the start of the level, but the route depends on cards you collect later. After picking up the first Purple/Purify card, enter the Mimic chest room, clear it, and take the Yellow/Elevate card. Use Purple to reach the roof, then Yellow to reach the gift. GGRecon also describes the Mimic chest area and a final Elevate hop.
7-10 Fuse
Fuse is not a normal chest pickup. The first token is above the door destroyed by traps. Keep both Fireball cards from the earlier waterway section, then combine one with Elevate to reach it. Collecting the token spawns Balloon Demons that lead to the second token.
After the second token, you are teleported to a side mission. Reaching its end gives a strange coin instead of the traditional gift item. Indie Game Culture calls this a special gift for Neon Green and points to a video for the steps. The written sources give no step-by-step layout for the side mission, so the video is the practical reference here.

The written walkthroughs date from June 2022: GGRecon’s article by Harry Boulton is dated June 17, 2022, and the 100% Guides video is dated June 21, 2022. Indie Game Culture’s “Neon White Gift Locations” page does not show a publication date in the version consulted. Nintendo’s official store listing gives the Switch release date as June 16, 2022. The sources do not say whether later updates changed level layouts or card behavior, so if a route doesn’t match what you see on screen, trust the level in front of you and check the video.
