The comeback is The Wolf Among Us Remastered, not the sequel. Telltale lists October 29, 2026 as the planned release date, with versions announced for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. The remaster brings back all five episodes of Bigby Wolf’s murder investigation and adds visual, audio, interface and accessibility updates, plus a switchable black-and-white Noir Mode.
When does The Wolf Among Us Remastered come out?
The planned release date is October 29, 2026, according to Telltale’s official game page and the Steam listing. Telltale’s June 15 announcement describes the window more broadly as holiday 2026. The date is planned and could change.
What platforms will it be on?
Telltale announced releases for:
- PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
- Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch
The announcement does not specify platform-by-platform technical differences.
What’s included in the remaster?
The complete five-episode story
The edition includes all five episodes of the original game: “Faith,” “Smoke and Mirrors,” “A Crooked Mile,” “In Sheep’s Clothing” and “Cry Wolf.” It follows Bigby Wolf as he investigates a murder in Fabletown, a community of fairy-tale figures living among people in modern New York. Telltale describes the game as inspired by DC’s Fables comic series.

Updated presentation and Noir Mode
Telltale lists enhanced visuals; refined character and environment presentation; upgraded animation and audio; an updated interface; accessibility improvements; and resolution and framerate improvements. The remaster also adds a switchable black-and-white Noir Mode. Telltale has not published specific resolution or framerate targets in the cited announcement, so those should not be assumed to be identical across platforms.
Behind-the-scenes extras
Telltale says the remaster includes more than an hour of supplemental material: behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries and deleted scenes. Its game page also mentions concept art and restored content.

No. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is an updated release of the original five-episode game. Telltale separately announced The Wolf Among Us 2 for 2027 in the same June 15, 2026 announcement. They are distinct games, not two names for the same release. See Telltale’s announcement for both projects.
