There is no well-supported universal best fighting style in Grand Piece Online (GPO). For a broad starting point, an independent fan guide highlights Rokushiki for both PvP and PvE and Demon Step for endgame PvP, but neither is an official or experimentally verified winner. Choose by activity, build and race compatibility, unlock requirements, and the moves you value—not by treating any ranking as permanent.
Which fighting style should you choose?
Use the activity you care about most as your first filter. The independent Grand Piece Online Wiki fighting styles guide presents Rokushiki as an option for both PvP and PvE, and Demon Step as an endgame PvP choice. Those are provisional recommendations from a fan-made resource, not official balance findings.
Player opinions vary by role. In a Reddit discussion, commenters nominate different styles for PvE, PvP, and supporting Devil Fruit builds, including Iron Fist, Moonlit, Kamishiki, Dragon Claw, Fishman, and Rokushiki. That range is useful as a reminder that priorities differ; it is not a representative poll or a measured ranking.
How to compare styles for your build
- Activity: Decide whether you mainly want PvP, PvE and grinding, or support for a Devil Fruit build. A style favored for one activity is not automatically best for another.
- Build and race: Check whether a style’s race requirement fits your character before planning around it.
- Unlock path: Compare the currency cost and any prerequisite points or items with what you already have.
- Move utility: Consider which functions matter to you, such as mobility or combo extensions. The available sources do not provide reliable head-to-head measurements for these traits.
Specific rankings can change as the game is updated. The available sources do not establish current official balance values or reproducible damage and DPS comparisons, so exact damage claims should not drive a choice on this evidence alone.

What do the listed unlock requirements say?
The fan guide lists the following costs and prerequisites. These are guide values, not independently verified current-game requirements; check with the in-game trainer before spending currency or items.
| Style | Guide-listed cost or requirement | Progression context |
|---|---|---|
| Black Leg | 9,000 Peli | The guide describes it as an early-game style. |
| Demon Step | 50,000 Peli and 125 Black Leg points | The listed prerequisite makes it a progression choice rather than a no-prerequisite starter. |
| Fishman Karate | Fishman race and 75 Shark Teeth | Race and item gates apply. |
| Electro | Mink race and 25 Carrots | Race and item gates apply. |
The guide does not state a publication year for these figures. Confirm the current requirements in-game, especially if an update may have changed them.

Why there is no definitive winner
The fan guide is useful for orientation on styles, locations, and listed requirements, but it is not an official developer source and does not document methods for its broad rankings. The Reddit thread, titled “What is the best/fav fighting styles in your opinion and why,” records individual preferences rather than a controlled comparison. Neither source supports a universal verdict or precise comparative damage claims.
For a practical decision, shortlist styles that fit your activity and character, verify their unlock conditions with the trainer, and weigh their moves against your own priorities. Treat online tier lists and community favorites as starting points, not proof that one style outperforms every other option.
