Which cigar box the question means
“Where is cigar Hitman 3?” is a literal search phrase, and it is also the heading one secondary guide uses for the Ambrose Island task. The Hitman series has more than one cigar box, so the answer depends on which mission you are in. A community-maintained index also lists cigar boxes in Death in the Family and End of an Era. Ambrose Island: step by step
- Speak with Farah in the village and keep progressing her request until she asks you for the stolen cigars.
- Go to the green hut near the boat stash. It sits across from the hut with the colored lights. Collect the note and the shovel here.
- Walk to the toolshed beside the green hut. Next to the fire barrel, hold the shovel and dig at that spot to uncover the cigar box. Nothing on screen marks the spot as a visible object, so look for the dig prompt while equipped.
- Return the cigar box to Farah to continue her evidence quest. According to the same guide, she later asks you for evidence from a prisoner in the Ruins.
Landmarks and common problems
- No dig prompt: The shovel must be the equipped item. Check that it is in your hands before moving to the fire barrel.
- Wrong hut: The shovel is in the green hut by the boat stash. The colorful hut is the landmark for orientation, not the shovel location.
- Looking for a real shovel: The shovel is an in-game item. You do not need to buy or use any real-world tool.
How reliable this information is
The Ambrose Island steps come from a secondary gameplay guide. At the time of writing, I did not find an official IO Interactive guide, patch note, or developer statement confirming this location, so treat the landmarks as the guide’s description rather than an official reference. If the prompt does not appear where described, compare your position against the green hut, the boat stash, and the toolshed before assuming the item is missing.
