Rather than guess at a ranked list, use the catalog and its linked community resources to check each package before installing it.
Where to find Phasmophobia mods
Thunderstore’s Phasmophobia catalog is a starting point for browsing the game’s community packages. Its page also links to modding resources and recommends Thunderstore Mod Manager for Windows to install, update, and manage mods.

Thunderstore describes mods as packages in its documentation index, which also links to user support for problems such as modded games failing to launch. Use the catalog and those community resources to investigate a specific package; the information available here does not support naming or ranking individual mods.
How to manage mods with Thunderstore Mod Manager
The Thunderstore Mod Manager listing describes tools for creating profiles, installing and updating mods, and editing configurations. Thunderstore identifies itself as the mod database and API that managers use to obtain packages.
#1 Best Overall
- Open the Phasmophobia catalog and follow its recommendation to use Thunderstore Mod Manager on Windows.
- Create a separate profile for the game so its mod setup and configuration are managed apart from other profiles.
- Find the package you want in the Phasmophobia catalog, then check its own listing and linked resources for requirements and compatibility information.
- Install and update packages through the manager, and use its configuration tools where a package provides settings.
The manager listing’s displayed game-support list does not name Phasmophobia. The game-specific catalog’s recommendation is the direct evidence that it is intended as an installation and management option for this game.
What to check before installing a mod
A catalog listing alone does not establish that a package works with your current game version or multiplayer setup. Before adding one, look for clear, current answers to these questions:
Rank #2
- Game-version support: Does the package say which Phasmophobia version it supports, and is that information current?
- Multiplayer requirements: Does it explain whether each player needs the mod, whether it is client-side, or whether the host must install it?
- Dependencies: Does it list other packages or tools required for installation?
- Maintenance and troubleshooting: Is there recent package information or a linked support resource that can help if the game fails to launch?
These are checks to make when evaluating a package, not confirmed attributes of any particular Phasmophobia mod. Current package names, maintenance status, compatibility, and multiplayer requirements are not established here.

Overwolf Support’s article “Overwolf Won’t Get You Banned”, modified November 27, 2025, says: “Overwolf and all official Overwolf apps will NOT get you banned.” That assurance applies to Overwolf and its official apps; it is not a statement from Kinetic Games approving every third-party Phasmophobia mod or guaranteeing that modded play is risk-free. The available information does not establish a game-specific mod policy, so do not treat the Overwolf statement as one.
