The only relevant item located is an October 2024 Reddit discussion alleging that a phone number shown in the game reached a real telephone service; it does not confirm an official fix or even identify a related update.
What is known about the alleged update?
The claim that an update fixed a major oversight remains unverified. No official patch notes, attributable statement, credible report, release date, or supported platforms for such a fix were identified.

The sole relevant result was a Reddit thread titled “Working phone number in game (SH2 Remake)”, posted October 6, 2024. A participant alleged that a phone number visible in the game reached a real telephone service. That is user-generated testimony, not independent confirmation, and the discussion does not establish that an update addressed the alleged issue.
What remains unconfirmed?
- Whether the alleged phone-number issue was a real oversight.
- Whether a specific update fixed it, and what that update changed.
- When such a fix might have been released or which platforms it might affect.
- Whether Konami, Bloober Team, or a platform holder has explained the matter.
Without an official announcement or credible reporting that identifies the issue and the fix, describing this as a confirmed patch story would go beyond the available evidence.
