Artifacts are passive modifiers that raise or lower stats such as oxygen, speed, cooldown, damage, weight, XP, and cash. The catalog does not name a single best artifact or loadout. The right choice depends on what your route needs, so the sections below give the full stat lines and explain how to weigh them.
This guide covers Abyss, the Roblox game. Do not confuse it with Artifacts of the Abyss, a separate Roblox experience with its own listing on the Roblox platform. The stat figures come from a fan-maintained catalog, the Abyss Roblox Wiki, and are not official game data.
What artifacts do
Each artifact is a stacked passive modifier. Some of its stat lines are helpful and some are penalties, so an artifact that boosts damage may also cost you oxygen or add cooldown. The wiki recommends judging each artifact against your route goal, especially the balance between oxygen, speed, cooldown, and damage, rather than picking by rarity. A Legendary item with a large penalty can be a worse fit than a Common item that supports your route.
How to get artifacts
The catalog reports two acquisition paths.
Geode pools
Artifacts in the Mossy, Cactus, and Rooted geodes come from cracking the matching geode. Each geode has its own pool of possible artifacts. A Fandom wiki listing describes taking a geode to Virelia to crack it, but the full page could not be checked, so treat that route as a community report and confirm it in-game. The catalog does not publish drop rates for any pool, so the odds of a specific artifact are not established.

Quest and other rewards
Four artifacts are tied to specific quests or conditions:
- Crab Claw (Secret): reward from Crab Quests.
- The King’s Fortune (Secret): reward from King Cat’s Quest.
- Ruined Lantern (Secret): reward from Lightkeeper’s Quest.
- Rubber Duck (Exotic): requires the Early Tester Badge. The catalog does not explain how to earn that badge, so check the game’s badge listing for current requirements.
Full stats by geode pool
Each stat line shows the lower and upper values the catalog reports. Figures are as the wiki lists them and were not verified against current in-game rolls. Speed is listed without units. Weight is in kilograms, and cooldown is in seconds.

Reading the stat lines
Stat lines are either a range or a fixed value. A range gives the lower and upper figures the wiki lists, and it does not say where within the range a roll falls. Where the catalog prints the endpoints in the reverse order, as with Rune of Might, Wraith Flower, and Infernal Eye, the entry is shown exactly as printed. Cooldown increases are penalties, and so are oxygen, damage, speed, XP, or weight reductions. Treat each line as a trade-off, not as a standalone bonus.

Choosing a loadout by goal
No loadout is established as the best one. The catalog itself argues against a universal ranking, and its build advice is to start from the goal of your route. Use the four goals below to narrow your options, then compare the penalties in each stat line before equipping anything.
Longer dives and survivability
Prioritize oxygen gains. The catalog lists Tank and Eternal Crystal as oxygen-focused geode options, and Ruined Lantern as a quest reward with oxygen. Eternal Crystal also reduces damage, and Crab Claw adds cooldown, so check whether those costs matter for your route.

Damage-focused setups
Damage bonuses come with costs. Rune of Might adds cooldown, Holy Flower reduces oxygen, and Wraith Flower adds cooldown. Mutated Skull and Sea Mine also trade oxygen or XP for damage. Compare the damage gain to the penalty before you commit to a damage build.
Movement and utility
Speed and cooldown effects matter most here. Feather, Divine Hour Glass, and Wraith Flower each combine a speed or cooldown benefit with a drawback, so none of them is a clear winner on its own.

Carrying and fishing efficiency
Weight and cash lines help only if they match your objective. Fish Bag, Fish Crate, Lantern, Eternal Crystal, and Ruined Lantern add weight, and The King’s Fortune adds cash. If your goal is XP or oxygen, these artifacts may not be worth a slot.
What the catalog can and cannot confirm
- The Abyss Roblox Wiki’s artifact catalog was last verified on February 11, 2026. Pool composition and stat ranges can change after balance or content updates, so confirm current values in-game before relying on them.
- The catalog’s 23-artifact count is the wiki’s own figure. The entries listed here match that count, but the wiki does not state that the list is complete for the current game.
- Drop rates, roll distributions, and where each value falls within a range are not published in the catalog.
- The Virelia geode route comes from a Fandom wiki listing whose full page could not be checked. Verify it in-game.
