Raycon advertises a HyperSync low-latency mode, three sound profiles, touch controls, a gaming-optimized microphone, 31 hours of battery life, and IPX5 water resistance. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements. Raycon’s product page does not publish an exact latency figure, microphone test, frequency-response graph, or complete console compatibility list.
That makes the earbuds attractive for players who want something smaller and cooler than an over-ear headset. However, competitive FPS players, rhythm-game players, streamers, and console-first buyers should favor a model with independently documented latency, a dedicated 2.4 GHz transmitter, or clearly confirmed platform support.
Bottom line: Raycon Gaming Earbuds may be good enough for casual gaming, but the available evidence is not strong enough to call them a top competitive-gaming option.
What are Raycon Gaming Earbuds?
Raycon Gaming Earbuds are a dedicated gaming model, not the same product as Raycon’s Everyday, Pro, E25, or E55 earbuds. Raycon currently lists the following features:

The included fit system is also important. Raycon’s support guide describes five total gel-tip options, including four additional sizes, so buyers have a better chance of finding a stable seal. That seal affects comfort, passive isolation, bass response, and perceived detail. (Raycon support guide)
These features make the product promising on paper. They do not, by themselves, prove that it matches purpose-built competitive gaming earbuds.
Gaming performance
Latency: promising, but not independently established
Latency is the biggest unanswered question. Raycon describes HyperSync as a low-latency mode intended for gaming and streaming, and uses “lag-free” language in its marketing. However, the current official product information does not state a millisecond figure or explain the test method. The support guide explains how to activate HyperSync but does not provide a measured result.
“Low latency” is not the same as zero latency. Actual delay can vary with the phone, PC, operating system, Bluetooth implementation, game, and connection mode. Video players can often compensate for audio delay automatically; games generally cannot do so as reliably.
This distinction matters by genre:
- Casual games, RPGs, strategy games, and most single-player titles: Any remaining delay may be easy to tolerate.
- Competitive shooters: Delay can affect reactions and the timing of directional cues, so independent testing would be preferable.
- Rhythm games: Even modest delay can interfere with timing. Wired audio or a measured low-latency wireless system is safer.
Do not rely on third-party claims that assign the current model a precise 55 ms or 60 ms latency figure. Those numbers are not corroborated by the current authoritative Raycon material. The older Raycon E25 also should not be used as evidence for this product: RTINGS tested the E25 separately and found poor wireless-gaming latency, but that is a different model.

Sound and positional audio
Raycon advertises balanced sound and three sound profiles. That could give players useful flexibility between a more immersive presentation and a profile intended to emphasize game detail.
Still, the available official information does not include frequency-response graphs, imaging measurements, or independent positional-audio testing. It is therefore too early to call the earbuds reference-grade for footsteps or competitive directional cues.
For single-player games, the smaller form factor may be more important than absolute soundstage width. Dialogue, music, environmental effects, and explosions should be enjoyable if the ear tips create a good seal. Compared with some over-ear or open-back designs, however, earbuds generally provide a less spacious presentation. Fit can also change the result substantially: a poor seal can reduce bass and make outside noise more distracting, while an overly tight seal may become uncomfortable during long sessions.

Raycon calls the microphone “optimized for gaming” and says voices should be heard clearly. That is a manufacturer description, not an independent recording result.
The current material does not establish how well the microphone handles keyboards, fans, breath noise, plosives, or noisy rooms. It also does not document sidetone, microphone monitoring, mute behavior, or whether the microphone can maintain high-quality stereo audio on Windows. Bluetooth devices may switch to a lower-quality hands-free audio profile when their microphone is active.

- Rugged and Durable: Built with military-grade impact resistance and IP67 waterproof rating, the Impact Earbuds are designed to withstand the harshest conditions, making them ideal for outdoor adventures like hiking, rock climbing, and more.
- Long-Lasting Battery: Boasting a remarkable 90 hours of total playtime and a 12-hour battery life per charge, these earbuds will fuel your grind for days on end without the need for frequent recharging.
- Liberating Sound Experience: With active noise cancellation, a wide frequency range of 20-20,000Hz, and touch controls, the Impact Earbuds deliver an immersive and customizable audio experience, allowing you to enjoy your music without distractions.
- RESETTING YOUR EARBUDS - Delete “The Impact Earbuds” from the bluetooth settings on your device, and place the earbuds back in its case. While earbuds are in the capsule, hold the center Reset button for 5 seconds or until the capsule LED flashes yellow 3 times. Close the capsule to complete the reset function.
- EARBUDS WILL NOT CHARGE - Ensure the charging case is charged, indicated by LED on the front: should be an amber or green color. Confirm there is nothing blocking the earbuds from the connection to the case. Insert earbuds into the case, and confirm a blinking amber LED on the front of the case, which indicates that the earbuds are charging.
For occasional party chat, the microphone may be sufficient. For voice-chat-heavy games, streaming, or team communication where clarity is critical, a headset with a separated boom microphone remains the lower-risk choice. SteelSeries, for example, explicitly positions its Arctis GameBuds line around a Discord-certified ClearCast microphone and dedicated gaming connectivity.
Comfort, isolation, and long sessions
Earbuds avoid the heat, clamp, and weight of an over-ear headset. That is a real advantage for players who dislike wearing a large headset for several hours. Five gel-tip options also improve the odds of achieving a stable fit.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesComfort is still anatomy-dependent. One person may wear them for a four-hour session without noticing them; another may experience pressure, ear fatigue, or irritation within an hour. Consider:
- Whether the housing presses against your outer ear
- Whether the seal stays stable while moving
- Whether glasses, hats, or hearing protection interfere
- Whether the tips create enough isolation in your room
- Whether the earbuds protrude enough to make side-lying uncomfortable
Passive isolation can help in a shared or noisy room, but the available material does not confirm active noise cancellation.
Battery life
Raycon claims 31 hours of battery life. Treat that as a manufacturer estimate until the manual or packaging clarifies exactly how it was calculated. The accessible product information does not clearly establish whether 31 hours means continuous earbud playback, total endurance including the charging case, or a result under particular testing conditions.

- 💦 IPX4 SWEAT & WATER-RESISTANT | Built to move with you, these ear buds are ideal for workouts, running, and outdoor activities.
It is also unclear from the available material how HyperSync, microphone use, calls, volume, and battery aging affect runtime. Before buying, confirm the following details:
- Earbud-only runtime
- Total runtime with the charging case
- Charging connector and wireless-charging support
- Quick-charge support
- Whether each earbud can be used independently
IPX5: useful protection, not waterproofing
IPX5 means the earbuds are rated for water jets and splashes. It does not mean they are safe to swim with, submerge, or use underwater. Do not place wet earbuds in the charging case, and do not treat the rating as a guarantee against long-term moisture damage.
For gaming, IPX5 is a useful portability and sweat-resistance feature, not a performance advantage.
Platform compatibility
The official Raycon pages available for this product do not provide a complete, unambiguous compatibility table for every major platform. Do not assume that ordinary Bluetooth earbuds will work directly with every console.
| Platform | What can safely be said | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Android and iPhone/iPad | Bluetooth is the least ambiguous use case. | Confirm that HyperSync is supported by the phone and game. |
| Windows PC | Bluetooth pairing is documented in principle. | Check microphone behavior, stereo-versus-hands-free mode, and whether a transmitter is included. |
| Mac | Bluetooth pairing may be possible. | Confirm microphone and gaming-mode behavior in the current manual. |
| PlayStation 4/5 | Not confirmed by the accessible official pages. | Confirm whether a compatible USB transmitter or controller connection is required. |
| Xbox One/Series | Do not assume direct Bluetooth support. | Require explicit Xbox compatibility or a compatible transmitter. |
| Nintendo Switch | Handheld and docked use may differ. | Verify the required connection method for each mode. |
| Steam Deck and handheld PCs | Bluetooth use may be possible. | Confirm latency mode, microphone behavior, and operating-system support. |
The product page does not clearly expose whether a USB-C or USB-A gaming dongle is included. That detail is decisive for console and competitive use, so check the current box contents and manual before ordering.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Pairing and HyperSync setup
Use the current control diagram or manual for the exact touch sequence, because the accessible support page references diagrams without exposing every tap command in text. The general setup process is:
- Charge the earbuds and case.
- Turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices that may reconnect automatically.
- Place the earbuds into pairing mode and select them from the gaming device’s Bluetooth menu.
- Activate HyperSync using the current Raycon control instructions.
- Select the sound profile that best suits the game.
- Test game audio and the microphone before joining a team session.
Test latency in the actual game you play most. A mode that feels acceptable in a video or menu may still feel distracting in a rhythm game or competitive shooter.

Raycon Gaming Earbuds versus alternatives
| Product type | Best for | Main advantage over Raycon | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raycon Gaming Earbuds | Casual, mobile, portable, and single-player gaming | Compact design, touch controls, sound profiles, and advertised HyperSync | Latency, microphone performance, price, and console support are not fully documented |
| SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds | Console-focused players | Listed PlayStation and Xbox variants, 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, ANC, and gaming software features | Likely a more specialized and potentially more expensive purchase |
| Sony INZONE Buds | Players seeking ANC, spatial audio, and dedicated wireless hardware | 2.4 GHz connectivity, ANC, personalized spatial sound, and up to 24 hours with the case | Higher-priced and less appealing for buyers who want simple Bluetooth-first earbuds |
| Razer Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed line | Players needing multi-platform wireless options | HyperSpeed wireless, Bluetooth, compact dongles, and platform-specific variants | Model names and platform versions require careful checking |
| Wired in-ear monitors or gaming headsets | Lowest-risk latency and predictable PC use | No battery management and generally minimal connection delay | Cable clutter and less wireless convenience |
Do not choose based on historical discounts alone. The meaningful comparison is the price you pay for verified latency, confirmed platform support, microphone quality, and software features. Raycon’s current live price was not reliably exposed in the available product information.
Who should buy Raycon Gaming Earbuds?
- Mobile gamers who want a compact Bluetooth option
- Casual PC players who prefer earbuds to a headset
- Single-player gamers who value portability and cooler ears
- Players who want touch controls and multiple sound profiles
- Buyers who are willing to accept some uncertainty about latency and compatibility
Who should skip them?
- Competitive FPS players who require measured latency and precise imaging
- Rhythm-game players who cannot tolerate uncertain audio delay
- Xbox buyers without confirmed accessory or transmitter support
- Streamers and team-chat-focused players who need a proven microphone
- Buyers specifically seeking confirmed ANC, spatial audio, or advanced equalizer software
Verdict
Raycon Gaming Earbuds appear to be a convenient casual-gaming upgrade rather than a proven competitive-gaming solution. HyperSync, three sound profiles, five fit options, IPX5 protection, and the compact earbud design are all useful on paper. The unresolved details matter more for serious players: there is no authoritative latency number, no independent microphone test, no published frequency-response data, and no complete official console compatibility table in the accessible material.
Buy them if your priorities are portability, mobile gaming, casual PC play, and avoiding over-ear heat. For competitive FPS, rhythm games, serious voice chat, or console-first gaming, choose a better-documented 2.4 GHz model or a wired alternative unless Raycon’s current manual and return policy confirm the support you need.
