IGN and TikTok did not launch a permanent creator platform. They announced an event-based activation for IGN Live: the TikTok Creator Studio @ IGN Live, a physical hub intended to help influencers and creators make social content during IGN’s three-day gaming and entertainment event in Los Angeles.
IGN Live was scheduled for June 7–9, 2024, at Magic Box @ The Reef in Downtown Los Angeles. The dates have passed, and the available announcement does not establish a continuing studio, creator program, attendance total, or campaign-performance figures.
What IGN and TikTok actually announced
The April 2024 announcement described a partnership around IGN Live, the in-person extension of IGN’s broader Summer of Gaming programming. Its creator-focused element was named TikTok Creator Studio @ IGN Live.
Some coverage used “IGN Live Creator Experience” or “IGN Live Experience” as shorthand. Those descriptions refer to the event and its activation, not to a separate TikTok app, year-round studio, or standalone creator network. The core announcement is available from TechTimes.

When and where was IGN Live?
The announced event ran from June 7 through June 9, 2024, at Magic Box @ The Reef in Downtown Los Angeles. It was a Los Angeles-based physical experience with planned online distribution through IGN’s digital properties and other channels.
Because this was a 2024 event, its tickets and schedule should not be treated as current availability in 2026.
What was the TikTok Creator Studio for?

What else was planned for IGN Live?
IGN described the event as a combined editorial show, fan gathering and branded experience rather than a conventional trade-show floor.
Programming and fan activities
- First looks and reveals involving games, films and television.
- Celebrity panels and interviews.
- Live recordings of IGN programs including Podcast Beyond! and Game Scoop.
- Hands-on game play and opportunities to interact with IGN hosts.
Online distribution
The plan called for streaming through IGN’s website, YouTube, console and mobile apps, connected-TV services and social channels. The report does not clearly establish TikTok as a dedicated livestream destination, so the partnership should not be described as proof that the full event streamed on TikTok.
Commercial partners and installations
The announcement named Amazon Games, Netflix and Square Enix among the partners. It also described Toyota lounges connected with the then-new 2025 Toyota Camry.
Those examples do not establish a complete sponsor list or individual contract terms. They also represent different kinds of involvement: a company could be a sponsor, exhibitor, programming participant or provider of a branded physical installation.

The available coverage does not say whether either ticket category included access to the TikTok Creator Studio. It also does not establish whether ordinary TikTok creators could walk in and use it.
Why the partnership mattered strategically
The following points are analysis of the announced format, not measured campaign results.
IGN supplied editorial and fandom infrastructure
IGN brought recognizable shows, hosts, game coverage and an established audience into a physical venue. That made the event more than a branded booth: programming itself could become live content.

TikTok supplied a creator-distribution layer
A creator studio allowed event moments to be turned into short-form videos while the event was happening. In principle, that could extend a reveal, interview or gameplay demonstration beyond people in the Los Angeles room.
Brands received physical and digital touchpoints
Lounges and installations gave partners a tangible presence for attendees, while creator posts and IGN programming offered potential online exposure. The announcement does not quantify the value or performance of either channel.
The format blurred several event types
IGN Live combined convention-style access, editorial broadcasting, livestream production, creator activity and experiential marketing. That hybrid model explains why the TikTok element was framed as an on-site studio rather than as a new software feature.

The announcement cited a worldwide Summer of Gaming audience of 190 million people in 2023. That is a figure attributed to the announcement; the available material does not provide independent methodology or an audit. It should not be converted into IGN Live attendance, TikTok views or combined partnership reach.
What is known after the event?
As of August 18, 2026, the confirmed facts are the 2024 announcement, the scheduled June dates and the planned activation. The available source does not verify a later Creator Studio edition, a continuing IGN-TikTok creator program, creator participation numbers, attendance, content metrics or sponsor outcomes.
Accordingly, “launch” describes the announcement and planned event activation. It does not establish that a permanent product was released or that the partnership continued after IGN Live 2024.
Bottom line
