The frequently cited “more titles soon” announcement dates to July 2025. Since then, Crunchyroll has continued expanding the catalog and announced a goal of reaching 100 titles by summer 2026, so older announcement lists should not be treated as a live availability list.

What Crunchyroll Game Vault includes
Game Vault is a catalog of mobile games bundled with selected Crunchyroll memberships rather than a separate game store. Crunchyroll describes the catalog as ad-free and without microtransactions, although newer releases should still be checked individually. Included games are downloaded through Google Play or the Apple App Store after you enter through Crunchyroll.
The service opened in November 2023 for Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan members. Crunchyroll’s support documentation now also names Annual Mega Fan as eligible. Availability is described broadly, but territorial exclusions apply to some titles, including selected European and Asian territories.

Which Crunchyroll plans qualify?

Having a “Premium” account by itself is not enough. Crunchyroll’s troubleshooting guidance specifically refers to Premium members on Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan, while the general Game Vault page also lists Annual Mega Fan. Check the plan name in your account before upgrading.

The July 8, 2025 announcement mixed released, upcoming, and pre-registration news. The labels below preserve what was known in that announcement; a title’s current status must be checked in the app or the latest catalog listing.

What changed in the later catalog?
Crunchyroll’s later catalog guide described a plan to reach 100 Game Vault titles by summer 2026. It also identified Dungeons of Hinterberg as a newer release and listed Bananya Buddies for pre-registration with a summer 2026 launch window. Bananya Buddies was listed with English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Latin America), and Spanish (Spain) support.
The guide was updated July 29, 2026 according to its search metadata, but an announced target is not proof that the final count was reached. Catalog entries and release dates can change, so use the in-app listing for the definitive current status. The guide also warns that some games are excluded in particular territories. How to install a Game Vault title
- Confirm that your account is Mega Fan, Ultimate Fan, or Annual Mega Fan.
- Sign in to the Crunchyroll app with that exact account.
- Open the Crunchyroll Game Vault section.
- Select a game and review its device and territory availability.
- Continue to your device’s Apple App Store or Google Play listing.
- Download and open the game. If prompted, use the qualifying Crunchyroll account for entitlement verification.
The Crunchyroll app is the discovery and entitlement entry point; the actual download occurs in the mobile store. These instructions are based on Crunchyroll’s Game Vault access guide.
What “included” means
- You should not need to buy an included title separately.
- You still need a compatible phone or tablet, an app-store account, and enough storage to install it.
- Access is tied to an active qualifying Crunchyroll membership, so it is subscription entitlement rather than guaranteed permanent ownership.
- Do not assume a mobile entitlement includes a Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch copy.
- Crunchyroll’s “no ads or microtransactions” description should be treated as a service claim and checked against each newer title.
If Game Vault or a game is missing
A qualifying plan does not guarantee that every title appears on every device. Work through these checks:

- If you just upgraded, allow the plan change to propagate, then fully close and restart the Crunchyroll app.
- Install the latest Crunchyroll app and update the device operating system.
- Check the individual game’s territory, operating-system, and device requirements.
- Consider whether the article you saw described an announcement or pre-registration rather than a released game.
- If the problem remains, contact Crunchyroll support with the game title, Premium-account email, device model, operating-system version, and a screenshot or screen recording.
Those details are requested in Crunchyroll’s Game Vault access troubleshooting page. Account verification is a useful check, not a guaranteed explanation for every failure.

Is upgrading worth it for Game Vault?
Mega Fan: the practical entry point
Mega Fan is the likely minimum tier for someone who wants Game Vault alongside ad-free anime, offline viewing, up to four simultaneous streams, and store benefits. Crunchyroll’s U.S. product page showed a regular price of $13.99 per month and a $2.99-per-month-for-three-months promotion for select new or returning subscribers on August 16, 2026. That promotion is eligibility- and time-dependent, not a guaranteed price. Check Crunchyroll’s live plan selector before subscribing.
Ultimate Fan: pay for the additional benefits
Ultimate Fan also includes Game Vault, but the cited materials do not indicate a larger Game Vault catalog than Mega Fan. Its observed U.S. regular price was $17.99 per month on August 16, 2026, with up to six simultaneous streams, Crunchyroll Manga where available, enhanced store benefits, and a swag-bag benefit after 12 consecutive months. It is difficult to justify solely for games.
Annual Mega Fan
Annual Mega Fan is identified as eligible, but no reliable current U.S. annual price is established here. Use the live plan selector rather than extrapolating a yearly cost.

Before upgrading for one specific game, confirm that title in your region and on your device. The subscription also pays for anime and other membership features, so compare the whole bundle—not the plan price against a single mobile game.

Check the current in-app catalog before paying for a particular title, because the July 2025 “coming soon” list has aged, releases can move, and regional restrictions can apply.
