Tokens from the collection were later recorded on Ethereum, but available evidence does not establish that its promised game or second collection was completed—or that the project remains active. The sale date and 0.05 ETH mint price are historical, not current offers.
What Cyber Shibas was supposed to be
A September 5, 2021 announcement described Cyber Shibas as a collection of 10,000 randomly generated Shiba-themed digital collectibles on Ethereum using the ERC-721 token standard. The project said each NFT would have varying rarity and portrayed the Shibas in a science-fiction setting, equipped with high-tech clothing and defensive gear to protect their planet. These were the project’s announced plans, as reported by Tech Times; they should not be read as proof that every proposed feature was delivered.
When the sale was scheduled, and what it cost
The reported schedule was a presale on September 7, 2021, at 7:00 a.m. UTC, followed by a public sale at 4:00 p.m. UTC. The announcement advertised a mint price of 0.05 ETH per NFT and a limit of 20 NFTs per transaction. Those are historical launch terms, not a current price or evidence of what tokens sell for now.
There is a timing discrepancy: a contemporaneous NFT calendar listing placed the drop at about 6:00 p.m. UTC, rather than the 4:00 p.m. UTC public-sale time reported by Tech Times. The sources therefore do not establish one uncontested public-sale time. The advertised price also did not establish whether Ethereum gas was included; anyone minting on Ethereum would have needed ETH for network transaction costs in addition to the NFT price. A dollar equivalent would depend on the ETH/USD exchange rate at the time.

What buyers were promised beyond the artwork
The project reportedly described an NFT game set in a Cyber Shibas metaverse, with rarity and equipment affecting how a Shiba performed against invading enemies. It also promoted a second Shiba Inu NFT collection and giveaways through Twitter and Discord. These were project claims and plans reported in 2021, not independently verified evidence of a completed game, a released second collection, or delivered gameplay utility.
Was Cyber Shibas an official Shiba Inu project?
The available sources do not show that Cyber Shibas was an official release of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency ecosystem. The name and artwork theme refer to Shiba Inu dogs, but that alone does not establish an affiliation with SHIB or its associated projects. The official Shiba Inu links page identifies ecosystem properties including SHIBOSHIS separately; it does not establish Cyber Shibas as an official collection.

Did the NFTs actually mint?
Third-party NFT records show tokens associated with a CyberShibas collection on Ethereum and identify the contract as 0xd38592f63f4f90ca3c508b5b7531ac74cdce124a. CheckNFT records for Cyber Shibas #193, #1296 and #2352 list creation dates of September 7, 2021. Rarible also identifies a token from the same contract as part of CyberShibas and labels it ERC-721.
These records support that tokens were created; they do not prove that all 10,000 advertised NFTs were minted or that the collection sold out. A smaller number shown by an indexer is not conclusive: indexing coverage, unminted or burned tokens, and differing collection totals can affect what a service displays.

What is known about the project now?
As of August 18, 2026, the marketplace and indexing records establish the existence of Ethereum tokens from the collection, but the available sources do not establish a completed Cyber Shibas game, a delivered second collection, current developer activity, or an active official project site. That is a limit on what can be verified, not proof that no game or further activity ever existed.
CheckNFT’s record for the sampled #1296 token flags centralized metadata storage and assigns a “critical risk” assessment. That is CheckNFT’s third-party assessment of that record, not an Ethereum finding or a regulatory judgment. Centralized storage can mean that displayed artwork or traits depend on a server or service rather than being preserved in a decentralized system.

Checks to make before considering a token
A historical mint price does not establish current value, and a visible marketplace listing does not by itself establish liquidity or project health. If considering a Cyber Shibas token, check the specific asset rather than relying on an old announcement:
- Match the contract and network. Confirm the contract address is exactly
0xd38592f63f4f90ca3c508b5b7531ac74cdce124aand that the asset is on Ethereum. Similar names or contracts with even a one-character difference may refer to something else. - Inspect the token record. Check the token ID, owner, transfer history and transaction record on a marketplace or NFT index. A listing is not proof that a seller owns the asset or that it will sell.
- Review metadata and image storage. Find out whether artwork and traits are stored on decentralized infrastructure or rely on a centralized server; the CheckNFT assessment applies to its sampled token record.
- Assess market activity independently. Do not infer a collection-wide floor price or dependable demand from one listing or one past transaction. A sampled sale is evidence only of that transaction.
- Separate utility from promises. Treat the game and metaverse claims as historical plans unless a functioning product can be independently verified.
- Account for transaction costs. The 0.05 ETH advertised mint price was not a current resale price and did not settle gas, marketplace fees or possible creator royalties for a present transaction.
- Avoid impersonation routes. Do not connect a wallet through old social posts, unofficial Discord servers, unsolicited direct messages, or an unverified site. Marketplace visibility does not validate a link, seller or contract.
Cyber Shibas has a verifiable 2021 Ethereum minting history. Its proposed game and second collection remain unverified in the available records, and the sources do not establish an official connection to the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
