As of August 18, 2026, the Microsoft Store still lists both among Game Pass role-playing games, although Microsoft says catalog access can vary by region, platform, plan and time.
Which games are included, and on what plans?
Xbox listed the following editions, release dates, platforms and eligible plans in its official announcement.
| Game | Game Pass date | Edition | Announced platforms | Plans listed by Xbox |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt | February 19, 2026 | Complete Edition | Cloud and console | Ultimate, Premium |
| Kingdom Come: Deliverance II | March 3, 2026 | Title listed without a complete-edition designation | Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC | Ultimate, Premium, PC Game Pass |
See the original schedule and plan information in Xbox’s February 2026 announcement. The Microsoft Store’s current role-playing listing is the better place to verify live inclusion before subscribing.
What edition of The Witcher 3 is included?
Xbox specifically named The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition. That wording identifies the Game Pass listing; it is not a promise that every separately sold future add-on, bundle or platform entitlement is included beyond the named edition. Check the individual store page for the exact content and platform you intend to use.

What else arrived in the February wave?
The announcement covered a full group of additions rather than only the two headline RPGs:
| Date | Titles |
|---|---|
| February 17 | Aerial_Knight’s DropShot; Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora; Avowed (with the plan update noted by Xbox) |
| February 19 | Death Howl; EA Sports College Football 26; The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition |
| February 24 | TCG Card Shop Simulator |
| February 25 | Dice A Million |
| February 26 | Towerborne full release |
| March 3 | Final Fantasy III; Kingdom Come: Deliverance II |
Xbox also identified Diablo II: Resurrected and High on Life 2 as already available or previously added in the same announcement, so they were not new dates in this wave. Xbox described EA Sports College Football 26 as having 136 FBS schools, more than 300 authentic coaches, 2,700 new plays and 10,000 college athletes.

Which plan should you choose?
PC Game Pass
For a Windows PC-only player focused on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, PC Game Pass is the least expensive listed tier that includes that game. It does not provide the console/cloud arrangement Xbox listed for The Witcher 3. PC Game Pass requires Windows 10/11 version 22H2 or later through the Xbox PC app; the individual game has its own hardware requirements.
Premium
Premium is the lower-cost console or cloud choice for readers who want both featured RPGs and do not need Ultimate-specific benefits. Xbox listed both games under Premium.

Ultimate
Ultimate is the broad-access option for supported console, PC, cloud and handheld use. It also includes benefits such as EA Play and online console multiplayer, making it the sensible choice when those extras matter alongside the two RPGs.
Essential
Xbox’s February announcement did not list either featured game for Essential. Essential is a smaller catalog tier, so verify each game’s live store listing rather than subscribing to it for these titles on assumption.

Platforms and cloud limitations
The Witcher 3 was announced for cloud and console. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was announced for cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC; Xbox did not announce Xbox One support for it. Cloud play is streaming access, not a native download, and requires a supported device, region, network connection and eligible plan. Microsoft’s cloud-gaming guidance and Game Pass catalog show the current service limitations.
Prices and the subscription-versus-purchase decision
U.S. prices observed on August 18, 2026 were $22.99 per month for Ultimate, $14.99 for Premium, $13.99 for PC Game Pass and $9.99 for one month of Essential on the displayed purchase page. Microsoft says prices vary by region and promotions can be temporary; see the April 2026 price notice and official plan comparison before checkout.
Game Pass is a subscription license, not permanent ownership. You can play while the subscription is active and the title remains in the catalog. If a game leaves, you must buy it to continue without that access, unless another entitlement applies. Members receive discounts on selected games: Microsoft says these can reach up to 20% for some library titles and up to 50% for certain broader Game Pass deals, as detailed on its deals page. Compare the current purchase price for your country, platform and edition with the months you expect to subscribe if you plan to play one game long-term.
Bottom line for each type of player
- Windows PC only: PC Game Pass is the practical listed fit for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
- Console or cloud player wanting both RPGs: Premium is the lower-cost listed option.
- Multi-device player wanting EA Play, multiplayer and broader benefits: Ultimate is the more complete package.
- Permanent-ownership player: Buy the game instead, or use a Game Pass discount when the purchase price and edition suit you.
Because availability and entitlements can change, check the live listing for your region and device immediately before subscribing.
