Razer Synapse Web lets you customize a small, growing list of Razer peripherals in a browser without installing the Synapse desktop app. It is useful for quick changes on shared or locked-down PCs, but it is not a replacement for Synapse 4: device support is limited, and advanced features such as cloud profile sync and full Chroma control remain outside the web tool.
What Razer Synapse Web does
Razer launched Synapse Web in beta on January 27, 2026. It is a browser-based configuration tool within the Synapse ecosystem, intended for quick adjustments on tournament systems, LAN PCs, and other computers where installing desktop software is inconvenient. Open it at synapse.razer.com. Razer describes the tool and its relationship to Synapse 4 in its launch announcement.
The browser communicates with a connected peripheral using WebHID. This is not just a cloud profile viewer: where the interface supports it, you can edit settings and save profiles to the device’s onboard memory. “Instant” means no conventional Synapse installation after the device, firmware, browser, and permission requirements are met; the first connection still requires the browser to be allowed to access the peripheral.
Which Razer devices are supported?
Razer’s supported-device list, updated May 13, 2026, includes the following models. Check the exact product number: a similarly named device or variant is not necessarily supported.

| Category | Currently listed device | Product number |
|---|---|---|
| Keyboard | Razer Huntsman Signature Edition | RZ03-0551 |
| Keyboard | Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8 kHz | RZ03-0553 |
| Keyboard | Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini | RZ03-0499 |
| Keyboard | Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Tenkeyless 8 kHz | RZ03-0552 |
| Keyboard | Razer Huntsman V3 Tenkeyless 8 kHz | RZ03-05750 |
| Mouse | Razer Viper V4 Pro | RZ01-0563 |
The current list is published on Razer’s supported-device page. The launch announcement initially named three Huntsman V3 Pro keyboards; the later list shows that support expanded. Razer says more devices may be added, but compatibility with desktop Synapse does not by itself establish compatibility with Synapse Web.
What can you customize in the browser?
The web interface supports selected device settings, switching among onboard profiles, editing and saving profiles to device memory where offered, and applying Chroma quick effects. The exact controls depend on the supported peripheral. The tool is aimed at changing a device’s usable settings quickly, rather than recreating every page or option in the desktop software.

- HIGH-PRECISION 6,400 DPI OPTICAL SENSOR — Offers on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment through dedicated DPI buttons (reprogrammable) for gaming and creative work
- DURABLE MECHANICAL SWITCHES — Supports up to 10 million clicks
- RIDGED, RUBBERIZED SCROLL WHEEL FOR MAXIMUM ACCURACY — Small, tactile bumps increases grip and allows for more controlled scrolling in high-stakes gaming situations
- 5 PROGRAMMABLE BUTTONS — Allows for button remapping and assignment of complex macro functions through Razer Synapse
- PC GAMING PERIPHERALS BRAND IN THE U.S. — Source — Circana, Retail Tracking Service, U.S., Dollar Sales, Gaming Designed Mice, Keyboards, and PC Headsets, Jan. 2019- Dec. 2023 combined
An onboard profile can travel with the keyboard or mouse to another computer, which is useful for a tournament setup or shared workstation. That portability applies to settings the device actually stores; it does not make cloud services or host-dependent features portable.
What still requires Synapse 4?
Razer presents Synapse Web as a companion to Synapse 4, not as a full browser edition. Its support FAQ identifies important limits:

- ICONIC ERGONOMIC FORM WITH 9 CUSTOMIZABLE CONTROLS — Favored by millions worldwide, the mouse’s signature shape perfectly supports different grips, while its numerous easy-access buttons allow for an endless combination of commands and macros
- RAZER HYPERSPEED WIRELESS AND BLUETOOTH — Unleash seamless, low-latency performance that's faster than other wireless tech or switch to Bluetooth for longer hours of gaming. Outfitted with multi-device support for a streamlined setup
- UP TO 285 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE — With up to 535 hours on Bluetooth and 285 hours on Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, last longer in the heat of battle with a mouse designed to play the long game. May vary depending on usage conditions
- RAZER 5G ADVANCED 18K OPTICAL SENSOR — Tailor the mouse to the playstyle with a new, robust set of sensitivity settings. Enjoy responsive, pixel-precise aim with an ultra-reliable sensor that tracks movement with zero spinouts
- RAZER MECHANICAL MOUSE SWITCHES GEN-2 — With new gold-plated contact points, the switches are less prone to degrading and have a longer lifespan of up to 60-million clicks, so gamers can enjoy crisp execution that’s just as consistent
- Cloud profile synchronization is not supported in Synapse Web.
- Advanced configuration and advanced Chroma effects are not available through the web interface; Razer directs users to desktop software for those capabilities.
- It does not provide the equivalent of complete multi-device Chroma synchronization or game-specific profile behavior.
- Do not assume macros or every device-specific option will be exposed. In Razer Insider beta notes dated May 12, 2026, Tournament Mode was described as disabling features such as macros and Snap Tap with one setting. A Razer representative said in June 2026 that macros were not yet supported in Synapse Web; beta features can change.
For a broader Razer setup, complex automation, or software-controlled lighting across multiple devices, Synapse 4 remains the more complete choice.
Requirements before you connect
- Supported hardware: the exact model must appear on Razer’s current list, and its firmware must be current.
- Operating system: Razer specifies Windows 11 and macOS 26.
- Browser: current Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Opera on desktop. WebHID support is required; Firefox is not among Razer’s verified browsers.
- Internet: a connection is needed to load the tool. Razer says a loaded session may continue working offline until the browser is closed; reopening or reloading may require internet access.
- Device access: the browser must be allowed to connect to the peripheral. Razer says no desktop app, browser extension, or additional driver installation is required for a supported device with current firmware.
Razer says the tool may work on other desktop operating systems with Chromium-based browsers, but those configurations are not listed as verified. A school or company computer may also block WebHID, USB access, or device connections through its own policies.

How to connect and save a profile
- Connect a supported Razer device to the computer and make sure its firmware is up to date using Razer’s available firmware tools.
- In current Chrome, Edge, or Opera, open https://synapse.razer.com.
- If the device is not detected, refresh the page.
- Select ADD DEVICE, then choose the Razer peripheral and approve the browser’s device-access prompt.
- Adjust the settings exposed for that device. If you want the configuration to travel with the hardware, use the interface’s onboard-profile save option and confirm the save before ending the session.
The exact interface can change while Synapse Web is in beta, so button placement may differ from these steps.
If Synapse Web does not detect your device
- Check the exact model and product number against Razer’s supported list. A device that works with Synapse 4 may still be absent from the web list.
- Confirm that the device firmware is current. Razer specifically recommends current firmware for compatibility.
- Use an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, or Opera browser, refresh the page, select ADD DEVICE again, and approve the WebHID permission prompt.
- If detection still fails, try a direct wired connection rather than a hub or dock, and check that the cable carries data rather than only power. Disconnect and reconnect the peripheral; close other applications or browser tabs that may already be using it. These are practical troubleshooting suggestions, not guaranteed Razer fixes.
- Try another verified browser. If the device still will not connect, use Synapse 4 where it supports the device or contact Razer support.

What this means for Razer buyers
Synapse Web can make a supported peripheral easier to configure on a borrowed, shared, or restricted PC, but it is best treated as an ownership convenience—not the sole reason to buy a device. If browser setup is important, check the current compatibility list before purchasing and base the decision on features the device supports now. Future beta additions are not a guarantee that an unlisted mouse, keyboard, headset, laptop, or accessory will be supported.
Razer’s software lineup also includes legacy Synapse 3. Razer says Synapse 3 stopped receiving updates and cloud-service support after February 3, 2026; existing local configurations may remain usable. Razer directs users seeking continued customization toward Synapse 4. See the Synapse 3 support FAQ.
