Dualiso is the best all-purpose Act 3 weapon for Verso. Its extra-turn basic attacks, faster Perfection gain and sustain-friendly effects make it forgiving while still supporting serious damage. Pick Chevalam instead if you can consistently perfect-dodge and parry; it begins encounters at Rank S but disables healing and shields. Corpeso is the specialist choice for a Burn damage-over-time setup.
These are guide-supported playstyle recommendations rather than an official developer ranking, and a future balance patch could change passives or encounter access.
How Verso’s Perfection rank changes the build
Verso’s damage rises dramatically with Perfection. Every basic attack, free-aim shot, skill, dodge, parry, counter and successful QTE can generate points.
| Rank | Points required | Damage multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| D | 0 | 1.0× |
| C | 3 | 1.25× |
| B | 8 | 1.5× |
| A | 15 | 2.0× |
| S | 30 | 3.0× |
Rank S requires 30 points but triples Verso’s damage, so the strongest builds either reach S quickly or preserve it while converting extra turns into attacks.
#1 Best Overall
Build A: Dualiso sustain and debuff (best for most players)
Weapon and attributes
Use Dualiso, the Lightning weapon obtained from Dualiste. It scales with Vitality (A) and Defense (B), so prioritize those attributes. Keep Agility useful for turn frequency and Luck useful for critical output.
| Weapon level | Effect | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | A base attack lets Verso play again | Creates the core extra-turn loop |
| 10 | 50% increased base-attack damage | Makes repeated basic attacks a real damage source |
| 20 | A base attack grants 4 Perfection | Accelerates the climb toward Rank S |
Skills
- Assault Zero: a dependable answer to light-resistant targets.
- Radiant Slash: a useful direct damage option in the general-purpose bar.
- Phantom Stars: multi-target Light damage with Break pressure.
- Powerful: include it when the party needs a straightforward damage amplifier.
- Light Holder: completing its QTEs builds a full rank.
- Berserk Slash: the safer choice when your recovery loop is interrupted, rather than relying on a health-costing alternative.
Pictos and Luminas
- Exposing Attack: lowers an enemy’s defense for the follow-up turn.
- Energizing Attack I or II: returns AP when attacking.
- Combo Attack I, II or III: adds another basic-attack hit and improves the Dualiso loop.
- Marking Shots: adds setup for Verso and his allies.
- Healing Fire: supports sustain; keep attacking burning enemies when it is equipped.
Combat loop
- Open with a basic attack to activate Dualiso’s extra turn.
- Use the additional action to apply exposure or marking while building Perfection and AP.
- Continue basic attacks to exploit the level 10 and level 20 effects.
- Spend AP on Phantom Stars for groups or Light Holder when its QTE rank gain is worth the action.
- Once S rank is secured, keep the loop going rather than abandoning it for low-value burst turns.
Dualiso is the safest recommendation because it does not require flawless defense, and its basic-attack economy remains useful when a long skill rotation is unavailable.
Rank #2
Build B: Chevalam Agility and Luck damage
When to choose it
Choose Chevalam for the highest-risk, highest-reward version of Verso. It comes from the Chromatic Gold Chevaliere after the Crimson Forest sword puzzles, so it requires optional Act 3 content rather than the mandatory Dualiste encounter.
Weapon effects and trade-offs
- At level 4, combat starts at Rank S.
- Starting at S disables healing and shields, making mistakes much more costly.
- At level 10, every consecutive turn without taking damage grants 20% increased damage, stacking five times for a possible 100% increase.
- At its highest passive level, reaching S also applies Rush.
Prioritize Agility for more turns, then Luck for critical rate and Chevalam scaling. Use Vitality instead when survivability, rather than damage, is the limiting factor.

Skills
- Blitz: fits the fast, aggressive turn pattern.
- Phantom Stars: your multi-target option.
- Follow Up: benefits from repeated free-aim shots.
- Paradigm Shift: a high-value tool in an aggressive bar.
- Defiant Strike: marks targets for party follow-up.
- Ascending Assault: prefer it for a single boss after building AP.
Pictos and Luminas
- Augmented Counter I: reinforces counter-focused defense and damage.
- Perilous Parry: improves AP, speed and critical output but doubles incoming damage.
- Confident Fighter: increases damage and crit while preventing healing.
- Augmented First Strike, Energising Start, Empowering Parry and Painted Power: add these as they become available.
Combat loop
- Begin at S and avoid taking damage.
- Use perfect dodges and parries to preserve the rank and generate resources.
- Chain consecutive unharmed turns to build Chevalam’s damage bonus.
- Spend the accumulated AP on burst skills; use Ascending Assault for a boss and Phantom Stars for groups.
Chevalam has the higher ceiling, but only if you can execute its defensive requirements consistently. A single mistake removes the practical advantage of starting at S while healing and shields are unavailable.
Build C: Corpeso Burn variant
Corpeso applies Burn according to Verso’s Perfection rank. It is the right alternative when your party benefits from damage-over-time pressure instead of immediate burst.
Rank #4
- Pair Corpeso with Combo Attack effects to increase basic-attack hits.
- Use Double Burn and Longer Burn effects to amplify and extend stacks.
- From Fire or Perfect Recovery can provide healing in the cited setup.
Corpeso is most attractive when another party member can exploit Burn or when enemies will survive long enough for repeated damage-over-time ticks to overtake a direct-damage rotation.

Steeled Strike
Steeled Strike is a prepared 13-hit attack. It can be cancelled if Verso is hit, so it is dangerous during unstable turns. In Act 3, Cheater can guarantee two turns in a round, making preparation safer when you have the required AP.

End Bringer is a six-hit physical attack that gains extra value against Stunned targets. Treat it as a payoff for a controlled stun window rather than a replacement for the Dualiso basic-attack loop.
Quick Recap
Which Act 3 weapon should you use?
| Priority | Best choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Reliable progression and general play | Dualiso | Extra turns, AP support and rapid Perfection gain without disabling healing or shields |
| Maximum damage with perfect defense | Chevalam | Starts at S and can gain up to 100% damage from consecutive unharmed turns |
| Damage-over-time team plan | Corpeso | Scales Burn application with Perfection and supports longer Burn stacks |
Practical Perfection tips
- Use basic attacks and free-aim shots when you need points without spending AP.
- Take advantage of dodges, parries and counters rather than treating them only as defensive actions.
- Complete QTEs whenever the reward is safe; successful QTEs also generate Perfection.
- Do not prepare Steeled Strike while an enemy can interrupt you unless Cheater has secured the follow-up turn.
- At S rank, prioritize actions that preserve your turn flow; the 3.0× multiplier is usually worth more than a premature, low-impact skill.
