To earn Quickdraw in Tower Defense Simulator, your team must triumph on Badlands II in under 16 minutes. The requirement was reduced from 18 minutes to 16 in version 1.53.0, so this is a coordinated speed clear rather than a normal survival run. Use four defined roles, defend every entrance immediately, skip waves without hesitation, and save enough high-DPS capacity to kill Gunslinger before it reaches the exit.
What Quickdraw requires
Quickdraw is the Badlands II timed badge. The official map guidance defines the condition as a triumph in less than 16 minutes. The final check is not simply reaching the last wave: Gunslinger has enough speed and health that the team needs a concentrated late-game damage core.
Badlands II puts pressure on multiple routes in an All Paths-style layout. A build that handles one entrance well can still lose to a leak elsewhere, which is why the official strategy emphasizes teamwork and fast early killers at every entrance. Random matchmaking is unlikely to provide the coordination this badge needs.
Build a four-player plan before loading in
Assign responsibilities in the lobby. Players can share towers, but each person should know which entrance and spending decisions they own.

The exact roster depends on what your group owns. Accelerator, Engineer and Golden towers improve the margin for error, but a role-based plan is more reliable than copying a single old loadout.
Placement and upgrade priorities
1. Cover every entrance first
Place fast early killers near all entrances before investing heavily in farms or expensive late-game towers. The goal is to remove weak enemies quickly and prevent a small leak from forcing a restart. Trapper, Electroshocker, Golden Pyromancer, Shotgunner and Golden Crook Boss are examples recommended in the official strategy.

2. Move the core toward the middle
Once entrances are stable, use the map’s central convergence for towers that can attack enemies over more of the route. Central placement increases firing uptime as paths merge and gives slowing or splash towers more chances to affect dense groups.
3. Add area damage before the waves overwhelm single-target towers
Badlands II can send large groups through several paths. Golden Pyromancer, Rocketeer and Mortar provide area damage, while Sledger and Electroshocker can slow or control enemies. These tools buy time for the team to upgrade its expensive damage towers; they are not a substitute for the final DPS plan.

4. Establish the Gunslinger kill zone early enough to upgrade it
Reserve space and cash for Accelerator, Engineer, Golden Minigunner, Pursuit, Ranger or another high-damage combination. Place the main cluster where it can attack Gunslinger for as long as possible, then use Commander and DJ Booth support to raise its output. Do not leave all upgrades until the last wave: a late purchase may not produce enough damage before the boss reaches the exit.
Economy, skipping and timing
- Start with coverage, not maximum farming. Each entrance needs enough immediate damage to survive the opening waves.
- Assign one player to economy. That player farms once the defenders can clear safely; the other players keep upgrading the cheapest reliable damage.
- Skip every wave as soon as the team is ready. Waiting for the automatic timer spends the resource Quickdraw measures most directly: time.
- Spend around breakpoints. Buy an upgrade when it prevents a leak or materially improves clear speed; avoid scattering small upgrades across towers that will not contribute to the late-game cluster.
- Keep a recovery reserve. If a wave is barely cleared, use the next cash on the weak entrance or control tower instead of blindly continuing the farm schedule.
A community Ouest guide reported a 16:17 fastest time in its historical context. That figure is not a current universal script or a guarantee that the same placements still work after balance changes. Treat any wave-by-wave document as version-specific.

Support towers that protect the run
Commander and DJ Booth
Commander buffs and DJ Booth support are specifically highlighted in the official strategy because late-wave health and boss pressure leave little room for wasted damage. Decide in advance who places and activates them so several players do not duplicate the same support role.
Medic
Medic is valuable when chip damage or disabling effects threaten the team’s ability to hold every route. It should support a stable defense, not delay the damage needed for Gunslinger.

Slow and control
Sledger and Electroshocker can keep dense groups inside splash and firing zones longer. Place control where paths overlap or where a leak would otherwise bypass much of the team’s damage.
How to handle a failed attempt
- Leak before the middle: move an early killer closer to that entrance and delay one farm cycle.
- Several paths leak together: add splash or slowing at the convergence instead of stacking more single-target towers at one entrance.
- Boss reaches the exit: the late-game cluster was too small, too late, or poorly supported. Shift economy earlier toward high-DPS upgrades and reserve a longer firing lane for Gunslinger.
- The clear is safe but over 16 minutes: reduce idle time, skip sooner and replace low-impact upgrades with damage that shortens waves.
Choosing between community strategies
When comparing a video or written strat, check four things before using it:
- Tower requirements: whether it assumes Accelerator, Engineer, Golden towers or event towers that your group does not have.
- Role complexity: how strictly each player must follow placements and upgrade timings.
- Error tolerance: whether one missed skip or leaked wave leaves any realistic recovery time.
- Version freshness: whether the guide predates the 16-minute requirement or later balance changes.
No authoritative source establishes one maintained wave-by-wave order that works for every roster and current patch. Use older guides for ideas, then verify tower stats and the current Badlands II behavior before treating their sequence as exact.
Reward context
Badlands II’s version history lists Quickdraw and Defeated Gunslinger among the map’s badges and ties its rewards to Cowboy variants. A June 10, 2023 gameplay guide describes Quickdraw’s reward as the exclusive Badlands Cowboy skin. Reward presentation can change with later updates, but the badge condition remains the sub-16-minute Badlands II triumph described above.

Quickdraw is won by a coordinated four-player speed clear: cover every entrance immediately, use central splash and control, skip waves promptly, and build a supported high-DPS cluster that kills Gunslinger before the exit. Adapt the roles to your current towers rather than relying on an unverified, outdated placement script.
