Error Code 267 usually affects one Roblox experience, not your entire Roblox account. Roblox currently labels 267 “Banned from an Experience”: the experience creator issued the restriction, and Roblox Support cannot remove it or appeal to the creator for you. Read the complete message first, test another experience, then choose the appropriate resolution. Roblox’s official Error 267 explanation is the controlling reference.
What Roblox Error Code 267 means
Roblox documents Error 267 as an experience ban. That is different from a Roblox-wide account moderation action: an experience creator can block your account from that game while you continue using other experiences and platform features.
Creators also use the same disconnect mechanism for temporary kicks, permanent bans, anti-cheat actions, whitelist or group checks, age and permission requirements, private-server restrictions, and failed loading or verification scripts. The number alone does not identify which one happened. The experience’s custom text is usually more informative. Do not confuse 267 with codes such as 266, 268, 277, 279/ID 17, 280, 524, or 600. They have separate meanings and troubleshooting paths in Roblox’s error-code index.

First, determine whether it is a ban or a technical problem
- Try joining two or three unrelated, popular experiences.
- Try another public server in the original experience if a server list is available.
- Read and save the entire kick message, including any duration, rule, ban ID, or appeal instructions.
- Note the experience URL, device and operating system, network, and any recent account, avatar, software, or permission changes. Take a screenshot with unnecessary personal information redacted.
If only the original experience rejects you, an experience-side ban, kick, access rule, or broken script is more likely than a damaged Roblox installation. If every experience fails, investigate the client, network, account, device, or a Roblox outage. This isolation test is useful evidence, not absolute proof of a ban.
11 ways to fix or resolve Error Code 267
1. Confirm whether only one experience fails
Join a different experience first. If it works, focus on the original game’s moderators, rules, access requirements, and server health. If several experiences fail, continue with the technical checks below.
2. Read the full kick or moderation message
Look for wording such as “Banned from this experience,” “temporary ban,” “failed to verify access,” “anti-cheat,” “join the group,” “age requirement,” or “private server access denied.” Creator-supplied text can describe a cause that Roblox’s number does not reveal.

3. Wait when a temporary restriction is explicitly stated
If the message gives an end time or duration, wait until it expires instead of repeatedly retrying. Do not evade the restriction with alternate accounts; that may violate the experience’s rules and trigger further action. Waiting is relevant only when the message actually says the restriction is temporary.

For a genuine experience ban, this is the official remedy. Use the creator’s Roblox profile, the experience community wall, an official social account or support server linked from the Roblox page, or the game’s official appeal form. Roblox Support says it cannot remove a creator-issued ban or contact the creator on your behalf.
Include your Roblox username and user ID, experience name, approximate date and time, complete message, screenshot, a concise explanation, and relevant evidence. Be polite. Never send a password, browser cookie, authentication code, payment detail, or session token.

5. Check group, age, and permission requirements
A rejection can be an access-control failure rather than punishment. Check required group membership, age or maturity restrictions, account verification, private-server permissions, game-pass requirements, parental controls, and whether the experience is temporarily closed or recently updated. Menus and availability vary by device, account age, region, and current Roblox settings; consult Roblox parental controls and experience-chat guidance for account-dependent restrictions.
6. Rejoin a different server
- Leave Roblox completely.
- Open the experience page again.
- Select another public server, if available.
- Try joining through a friend only when the experience permits it.
This can clear a stale session or single-server failure, but it cannot remove an account-level experience ban.

7. Restart Roblox and your device
Close Roblox fully, force-close the mobile app if necessary, and restart the device. This can clear a stuck session, failed authentication handshake, temporary memory state, or incomplete client update. Roblox recommends rebooting for desktop issues at General Desktop Roblox Issues and restarting supported mobile apps in its troubleshooting guidance.

8. Update Roblox and the operating system
Install pending updates for the Roblox app or desktop client, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, ChromeOS, Xbox, PlayStation, and the browser used to launch Roblox. Updating is directly relevant to Error 280, which is a different outdated-version code; it is not a guaranteed solution to a creator-issued 267 restriction.
9. Reinstall Roblox
- Uninstall Roblox.
- Restart the device.
- Download it again from the official Roblox website or your platform’s official store.
- Sign in and test the experience.
Reinstallation can repair corrupted local files or certain client problems. It cannot erase a server-side ban stored by an experience.

rmdir /s RobloxConfirm deletion when prompted, restart the computer, and reinstall Roblox. Run the command in the correct user context: it removes local Roblox data, not your account or server-side inventory. For browser launch problems, clear Roblox-related temporary internet files and cookies as described in Roblox’s website troubleshooting. Do not delete arbitrary folders or registry keys.
11. Check your network, security software, and Roblox status
Use this step when multiple experiences fail, Roblox cannot communicate normally, or switching networks changes the result.
- Test a phone hotspot or another permitted network.
- Restart the router and temporarily use wired Ethernet where possible.
- Ensure Roblox is allowed through the firewall.
- Test whether antivirus or security software is blocking Roblox, then restore protection immediately.
- Remove browser extensions that interfere with launching.
- Check Roblox status for an outage.
- Contact your internet provider or network administrator if the issue is network-wide.

A reinstall changes files on your device, not the experience creator’s server-side ban list. If other experiences work and the same message returns in one game, stop repeating reinstalls and use the creator’s appeal route. If the message instead describes access verification or a requirement, satisfy that requirement or ask the game’s official support channel for clarification.
When to contact Roblox Support
Contact Roblox when the problem affects the whole platform, your account appears to have Roblox-level moderation, you suspect account compromise, the code is not actually 267, or the website and client malfunction across experiences. Roblox asks for your username, exact error message, device model, operating-system version, reproduction steps, and recent changes. Use Roblox Contact Us. Support generally cannot adjudicate or overturn an individual creator’s moderation decision.
Avoid these fake fixes
- VPNs: changing your network path cannot remove a creator ban and may trigger additional anti-abuse checks.
- Alternate accounts: ban evasion can violate the experience’s rules.
- Exploit executors, scripts, modified clients, and “anti-ban” tools: these can compromise the account or cause further moderation.
- Paid “unban” services: treat them as scams, especially if they request credentials or payment information.
- Credential sharing: never provide passwords, cookies, two-factor codes, or browser session tokens.
