Which PC or Mac route should you use?

The official platform list includes PC through Steam and Web, alongside mobile and consoles: platform availability. Steam’s listing publishes Windows requirements only, so do not assume its installer is a native Mac game.
How to install Stumble Guys on Windows
- Open the official Stumble Guys Steam page.
- Install or launch the Steam client and sign in.
- Choose the option to play or install the free game.
- Select a drive with at least 512 MB of free space, the storage amount listed by Steam.
- Open the game from your Steam Library.
- Let Steam and the game finish updating before joining friends.
- Select Play to enter matchmaking, or use the in-game party tools to invite friends.
Download only from Steam or the official Stumble Guys site. Pages offering APKs, modified clients, cheats or “cracked” PC installers are not required for the official Windows version and add security and account risks.
Windows minimum requirements
Steam lists these minimum specifications:
- Operating system: Windows 10
- Architecture: 64-bit processor and operating system
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 or AMD Phenom II X4 965
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7750 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
- Storage: 512 MB available space
- Network: Broadband internet connection
These are eligibility requirements, not an FPS guarantee. Resolution, drivers, background programs, browser overhead and later game updates can change performance.

How to play on a Mac
Option 1: Use the official Web version
- Open stumbleguys.com.
- Choose the site’s Play or download entry.
- Select Web when the platform choices appear.
- Sign in or connect the requested account.
- Allow any browser permissions needed for input, sound or full-screen mode.
- Use a current browser, close demanding tabs and switch to full-screen if available.
Web support is the safest general recommendation for both Intel and Apple-silicon Macs. Browser behavior and performance can vary by Mac, browser version and network.
Option 2: Try the Mac App Store listing on Apple silicon
On a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later and macOS 11 or later, search the Mac App Store for Stumble Guys. Apple may offer the iPad version from this listing. It is labelled Designed for iPad and Not verified for macOS, so compatibility, layout and controls may differ. Use the Web version if the app is unavailable or behaves poorly. The listing does not establish identical keyboard, mouse or controller support.
What about Steam on Mac?
The current Steam page publishes Windows requirements and does not establish a native macOS Steam build. Treat any Steam compatibility on a particular Mac as unconfirmed rather than assuming the Windows download will run natively.

The official PC guidance gives this default mapping; confirm the live build because labels and bindings can change.

How a match works
Press Play to enter matchmaking, race through obstacle-course rounds and finish high enough to qualify. Later rounds eliminate more players until a final winner remains. Player counts depend on the mode, version and season: Steam advertises matches of up to 32 players, while help-center material for Classic Mode references up to 24. Neither figure is a universal count for every mode.

Playing with friends across platforms
Steam, Web and mobile players can play together when everyone is on the exact same patch version. Party play can also depend on matching server regions. Console builds are currently separate from mobile, Steam and Web, so a console friend may not be able to join the same party.

Cross-play does not automatically mean cross-progression. Steam progress is tied to the Steam account, while progress can follow you between supported devices after linking a Scopely Account.
- Open Stumble Guys and select the gear icon for Settings.
- Choose Save your progress with Scopely Account.
- Select Connect, then choose email login.
- Enter the email address for the account containing the desired progress.
- Use the verification code or link sent by email.
- Confirm that the menu now shows Logout; that indicates the connection is active.
Instructions and supported account types are documented in the Scopely Account guide. Before connecting Steam, check the email carefully. Linking it to a new or empty Scopely Account can make your expected profile appear to vanish.
Troubleshooting
Windows game will not launch or keeps crashing
- Restart the game and update Steam.
- Update Stumble Guys and restart the PC.
- Temporarily check whether security software, a VPN or proxy is interfering.
- Check the game’s region or country settings and restart the router.
- Use Steam’s Verify integrity of game files option as a Steam-level repair step.
- Reinstall only after the earlier steps fail.

Web version is slow or unresponsive
- Refresh the page and update the browser.
- Close other tabs and demanding applications.
- Disable unnecessary extensions or try another current browser.
- Restart the Mac and use a more stable or wired connection where possible.
- On an M1-or-newer Mac, test the App Store listing if Apple offers it.
Lag, rubber-banding or matchmaking failures
Low FPS usually points to local hardware, drivers, graphics settings, browser load or background processes. High ping or rubber-banding points more toward the connection or server region. Matchmaking failures commonly result from a patch mismatch, region mismatch, service issue or expired account session. Update the game and Steam, check region settings, disable VPN/proxy services and restart the router before reinstalling.

Progress disappeared
- Wrong Steam account: Sign out and return to the Steam account that originally played the game.
- Recently linked Steam to Scopely: Stop using the new profile and contact support rather than overwriting it.
- Already linked: Sign in with the exact Scopely email used for the original progress.
- Still unresolved: Gather your Steam ID, Player ID if available, Scopely email and relevant purchase receipts.
Use the official Steam recovery instructions and the wrong-account recovery guidance.
Mac App Store option is missing
Availability can vary by Mac model and region. The listing requires Apple silicon and macOS 11 or later, and it may not appear because the app is designed for iPad rather than verified for macOS. Use the official Web version instead.

No. Windows has an official Steam route, and Mac users can normally use the official Web version. An Android emulator or other compatibility layer adds installation, account, security and performance variables without being necessary for the supported routes. Do not treat an emulator as the default solution.

Can I use a controller?
The supplied first-party information does not establish identical controller support across Steam, Web and the iPad listing. Check the controls shown by your current build.
Does mobile progress transfer to Steam?
It can when the desired profile is linked to the correct Scopely Account. Linking Steam to the wrong or empty account can make progress appear missing.
Why can’t I join a console friend?
