If your browser, phone, or password manager saved it, you may be able to view that stored entry. If it did not, keep the working Roblox session open and create a new password through Roblox’s official recovery page.
Can Roblox show your current password?
Roblox account pages are not a password-viewing tool. Roblox’s official forgotten-password process verifies your email address or phone number and lets you create a new password; it does not provide a normal “show my current password” option. See Roblox’s password-recovery instructions.
Being logged in is still valuable: it preserves access while you identify the username, confirm recovery details, and test a new login. Do not log out of the only device that works until you have successfully signed in elsewhere.
First, check whether your device saved the password
A saved-password entry is the only practical way to view the old password rather than replace it. It might be missing, outdated, or saved under a slightly different Roblox address. A login cookie can also keep you signed in even when no password was saved.

Chrome or Google Password Manager
- Open Chrome’s password manager, or visit Google Password Manager.
- Search for
roblox.com,www.roblox.com, or “Roblox.” - Select the matching login and authenticate with your device password, PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition.
- Use the reveal control to view the stored password.
Chrome’s menu names and layout can vary; Google’s current help is at Chrome password management. Never reveal a credential on a shared or public computer.
iPhone, iPad, or Mac
On newer Apple systems, open the Passwords app and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. On older versions, use Settings → Passwords on iPhone or iPad, or System Settings → Passwords on Mac. Search for Roblox or roblox.com. Menu names differ by iOS, iPadOS, and macOS version. Apple’s guidance is available at Apple Passwords.
Android
Open Google Password Manager from your device settings or browser, search for Roblox or roblox.com, and authenticate with the device lock method before viewing an entry. You can also use Google Password Manager.
Microsoft Edge
Open Settings → Passwords and autofill → Microsoft Password Manager, search for Roblox, and provide Windows device credentials if requested. See Microsoft’s Edge password guidance.

Firefox
Open the Firefox menu, choose Passwords or Logins and Passwords, search for Roblox, and authenticate with the operating-system credential or Firefox primary password when prompted. Mozilla documents the process at Firefox Password Manager.
Reset the password without losing the active account
If no saved entry works, use the official recovery flow from another browser or device while leaving the current Roblox session open. The current support label is Forgot Password or Username?; labels can vary by platform.
Reset with an email address
- Open the Roblox login page and select Forgot Password or Username?.
- Enter the email address currently attached to the account and select Submit.
- Open the message from Roblox and select Reset Password.
- If the address is linked to more than one account, select the intended account.
- Enter and confirm a new, unique password.
Use the email address exactly as registered. If the message does not appear, check spam, junk, promotions, filters, and mailbox search results for “Roblox.” Never use a reset link from an unsolicited message or an unofficial website.
Reset with a phone number
- Select Forgot Password or Username? on the login page.
- Choose the Phone tab, select the country code, enter the attached number, and select Continue.
- Complete the verification prompt, enter the six-digit SMS code, and select Verify.
- Choose the correct account if several are shown.
- Enter and confirm the new password.

Test before signing out
- Confirm the username shown in the active session is the account you intend to recover.
- Complete the reset and save the new password in your private password manager.
- Open a private browser window or use a second device and sign in with the new password.
- Only after that test succeeds should you sign out of the original device.
Roblox’s documentation does not establish that a reset signs out every existing session, so do not rely on that assumption when securing a potentially compromised account.
What if no email or phone number is attached?
Roblox says its automated reset feature cannot be used without an associated email address or phone number. Contact Roblox Customer Support while you remain signed in and describe the problem in detail. Support must verify ownership before resetting the account or changing account information, and may be unable to help without adequate evidence.
- Record the exact username, display name, device, and error or recovery problem.
- Use the email address historically associated with the account, if possible.
- Keep legitimate Roblox purchase receipts or transaction emails available as ownership evidence.
- Never send a password, authentication code, backup code, browser cookie, or session token to support or anyone else.
Roblox’s username-recovery guidance also notes that an attached email, phone number, or in some cases purchase information can be needed to establish ownership.
If you forgot the username too
When you are still logged in, the username is shown on the profile beneath the display name. You can also use Roblox’s username-recovery process with an associated email address or phone number: I Forgot My Username. If one email serves multiple accounts, select the intended account during recovery.

Secure the account after recovery
Add recovery information you control
Add and verify your own email address or phone number if Roblox allows it. Roblox warns that adding someone else’s email sends password-reset messages to that person, potentially giving them control of the account. Keep the associated email account protected with its own unique password and security checks.
Enable 2-Step Verification
Roblox recommends 2-Step Verification and requires a verified email address to enable it. Depending on the account and device, available methods may include email, an authenticator app, a security key, or verification through a second device. Follow Roblox’s 2-Step Verification instructions.
Backup codes are generated under Settings → Security and shown only once. Store them somewhere private and accessible; do not post or message them.
If you suspect phishing or unauthorized access
- Change the Roblox password immediately through the official recovery route.
- Change the password for the associated email account.
- Enable 2-Step Verification on both accounts.
- Remove suspicious browser extensions and unofficial downloads.
- Contact Roblox through its official support channel.

Saved password or reset: which should you choose?

What not to use
Do not install “Roblox password finder” software, scripts, browser extensions, or websites that promise to extract a password. They can steal credentials, cookies, or codes. Roblox says login information should be entered only on official Roblox websites or apps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I see my Roblox password in Account Settings?
Roblox’s normal account pages do not provide a password-reveal control. Check your device’s saved-password manager or use the official reset process.
Can Roblox Support tell me my old password?
No recovery method should be expected to disclose the old password. Support may verify ownership and help change account access, but it must not receive your password or security codes.
What if the reset email never arrives?
Wait several minutes, check spam, junk, promotions, filters, and search for Roblox. Confirm the exact registered address, try phone recovery if available, then contact Roblox Support.
Is a saved browser password always current?
No. It may be outdated or belong to another Roblox account, so test it or establish a new password through Roblox recovery.
