The Infinix GT 50 Pro is now an official phone, not a leaked concept. Infinix unveiled it on April 24, 2026, and it has since reached selected markets. Its main differentiators are a visible coolant-flow window, an internal HydroFlow liquid-cooling system, and pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. Those features are genuine hardware, but their gaming value still depends on supported games, regional configuration, accessory cost, and independent testing.
Infinix positions the GT 50 Pro as the successor to the GT 30 Pro. Availability is not global, and specifications—including battery capacity, charging equipment, storage, NFC and bundled accessories—can vary by market. Check the local listing on the official product page before buying.
Quick verdict
- Best reason to consider it: It combines built-in liquid cooling and physical gaming controls in a conventional Android phone form factor.
- Biggest caveat: Infinix’s temperature, benchmark and “industry-first” claims are not substitutes for independent sustained-load testing.
- Best suited to: Players of shooters, MOBAs and other games that support trigger mapping and high frame rates.
- Think twice if: You want a lightweight, understated phone, a camera-first flagship or a device whose benefits do not depend on a proprietary cooler.
Design: hypercar styling with a visible coolant loop
The GT 50 Pro uses hypercar-inspired styling, a Kevlar-inspired rear finish and three announced colors: Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier. A transparent Pipeline Window Display shows coolant moving through the phone, while Mechanical Light Waves RGB lighting and four crosshair LED strips provide the gaming-phone visual identity. Infinix says the lighting offers 14 scenarios and eight customizable colors.
Reported launch dimensions are approximately 162.44 × 77.23 × 8.15mm, with a weight of 198g, according to Gadgets 360. That is a substantial handset before adding a case or cooler. The window is a visual display of the sealed cooling circuit; it is not an open reservoir that owners can refill.

The phone carries an IP64 rating. That provides limited dust protection and resistance to water splashes, not protection against submersion. RGB effects can also be distracting and consume additional power, although they can be disabled or customized.
How HydroFlow liquid cooling works
HydroFlow is the phone’s built-in cooling system, separate from any external accessory. According to Infinix’s launch announcement, it uses a ceramic, piezoelectric-driven micro-pump and a claimed 6,437mm² cooling diaphragm area. Coolant circulation is specified at 6.5ml per minute.
- The processor, graphics hardware and power circuitry generate heat during demanding workloads.
- The internal cooling network spreads and transports that heat away from the hottest areas.
- The micro-pump circulates coolant through the channels.
- Heat still has to be spread and released through the phone’s internal materials and exterior; the liquid loop moves heat rather than eliminating it.
The Pipeline Window makes that circulation visible, but the area and flow figures describe the hardware design, not a guaranteed frame-rate increase. Infinix describes the system with “industry-first” and other superlatives; those remain manufacturer claims unless independently verified. No specific temperature reduction or anti-throttling result should be assumed without controlled testing.
GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0: a separate accessory
The optional GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 adds capabilities that the phone’s internal loop does not provide. Infinix says it supports wireless bypass charging and 12W active thermoelectric cooling. With the correct phone, cooler and alignment, power can be directed toward the computing system instead of routing all incoming power through the battery during a gaming session.

It can add bulk, cost, alignment problems and possible case interference. A thick case may prevent magnetic contact, and a hot room can limit any cooler’s effectiveness. Infinix’s launch materials do not establish a reliable universal price or package contents, so verify those locally before treating it as part of the phone’s value.
GT Triggers put controls on the shoulder
Two pressure-sensitive mechanical GT Triggers sit along the phone’s edge. Infinix describes light-press, heavy-press and sliding inputs, up to four adjustable mapping points per trigger, and 10 pressure levels. The company claims latency below 20ms and durability beyond three million presses.

Mappings can cover aiming, firing, skills and weapon switching. The triggers also support non-game shortcuts such as launching apps, controlling media, changing lighting, opening the camera, taking screenshots, recording the screen, cleaning memory and activating Off-screen Gaming mode. Sliding both triggers inward can invoke additional system or AI functions.
These controls are most useful when a game’s layout and the player’s grip suit them. They can free thumbs for movement and aiming in shooters or provide quick inputs in MOBAs and racing games, but pressure levels and mapping points do not automatically match the ergonomics or flexibility of a dedicated gamepad. Game support and the available mapping implementation matter more than the feature count.
Display, touch response and performance
The reported panel is a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS display with 1,208 × 2,644-pixel (1.5K) resolution. It supports up to 144Hz, a variable 30–144Hz range, up to 330Hz touch sampling and up to 2,800Hz instant touch sampling under supported conditions. Gadgets 360 also reports a claimed 4,500-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, TÜV Low Blue Light certification and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Refresh rate and game frame rate are separate limits: a 144Hz screen does not make every title render at 144 frames per second. The 30Hz mode is subject to the phone’s always-on-display and system limitations, while touch-sampling figures describe input scans rather than display refreshes. Peak brightness is normally a limited-area or short-duration figure, not a promise of sustained full-screen output. High refresh modes can increase power use.
Processing comes from MediaTek’s 4nm Dimensity 8400 Ultimate with an all-big-core CPU design and Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. Configurations include 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Any RAM expansion setting is storage-based and should not be counted as additional physical RAM. Infinix Labs claims an AnTuTu result above 2,224,634 and a 26.45% improvement over the GT 30 Pro; scores vary with firmware, temperature, benchmark version, battery state and performance mode.

Availability of these tools varies by country, software build and game. Native 144FPS modes are title-specific. Automated macros can raise fairness and terms-of-service issues in competitive games, so check tournament and publisher rules. A mode that suppresses gestures and notifications can improve focus but may hide urgent alerts. “AI” branding alone does not establish better performance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Battery and charging vary by market
The GT 50 Pro is reported with either a 6,500mAh or 6,150mAh battery, depending on region. Charging specifications include up to 45W wired, up to 30W wireless, up to 10W reverse wired and up to 5W reverse wireless charging, although the local model and package should be checked.
Long-session endurance depends on brightness, refresh rate, game settings, network mode, ambient temperature and whether an external cooler is attached. The 6,500mAh figure must not be treated as universal. Wireless bypass charging specifically requires the compatible GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0.
Hardware beyond gaming
The phone has a 50MP main camera with OIS and EIS, an 8MP ultrawide and a 13MP front camera. Other reported features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for compatible content, an X-axis linear motor, an in-display fingerprint reader, an infrared blaster, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, OTG and FM radio. These make it a general-purpose handset, although the gaming hardware and styling are more distinctive than its camera system.

Who should buy it?
- Competitive mobile gamers whose titles support shoulder-trigger mapping and high refresh modes.
- Players who want a large battery and built-in cooling rather than relying only on a clip-on fan.
- Buyers comfortable with a 198g gaming-focused design and possible accessory costs.
Who should skip it?
- Camera-first buyers seeking a conventional flagship imaging system.
- Anyone wanting a compact, discreet or especially light phone.
- Players whose games do not support trigger mapping or high-frame-rate modes.
- Buyers unwilling to purchase a proprietary cooler for bypass charging and additional active cooling.
The Bottom Line
The GT 50 Pro’s liquid loop and shoulder triggers are real differentiators, not leak-stage promises. They can make sustained mobile gaming more practical, but they do not guarantee lower temperatures, universal 144FPS gameplay or better results in every title. The sensible buying decision depends on the local battery and feature set, supported games, cooler pricing and independent thermal testing.
