It is designed for high-frame-rate PC gaming, but its value depends on regional pricing, the exact model suffix, OLED-care requirements and whether your system can approach 240 frames per second.
The original announcement did not include a public price or retail release date. By August 2026, related suffixes had appeared in stores, so buyers should identify the exact SKU rather than assume every GO27Q24 listing describes the same panel or warranty.
What the GO27Q24 is
The launch model is a 27-inch-class QD-OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a native 2560×1440 (QHD/1440p) resolution. “27-inch” is a product class; the active OLED area may be presented as approximately 26.5 to 27 inches depending on the specification convention.
Do not automatically treat the names GO27Q24, GO27Q24A and GO27Q24G as interchangeable. Gigabyte’s launch coverage identifies GO27Q24 as QD-OLED. The GO27Q24A is a retailer suffix associated with a QD-OLED listing, while GO27Q24G is a later WOLED model with different panel technology and physical specifications. Check the model printed on the product label and box.

Specifications at a glance
| Specification | GO27Q24 |
|---|---|
| Panel | OLED, identified as QD-OLED in launch coverage |
| Size and format | 27-inch class, flat, 16:9 |
| Resolution | 2560×1440 |
| Refresh rate | 240Hz |
| Response rating | 0.03ms GtG (manufacturer rating) |
| Typical SDR brightness | 200 nits |
| HDR brightness | 400 nits typical at APL 10% |
| Contrast ratio | 1,500,000:1 |
| Color depth | 10-bit, approximately 1.07 billion colors |
| Color gamut | 99% DCI-P3 |
| Viewing angles | 178° horizontal / 178° vertical |
| Pixel pitch | 0.2292mm |
| Typical power consumption | 32W |
| VESA mount | 100×100mm |
These figures come from Gigabyte’s English GO27Q24 manual. The 400-nit HDR number is an APL 10% condition, not sustained 400-nit full-screen brightness. HDR10 compatibility and that peak figure therefore should not be compared directly with a high-end mini-LED monitor capable of much brighter large-area output.
What 240Hz at 1440p means for gaming
At 240Hz, the panel can refresh every 4.17 milliseconds. That can make aiming, camera movement and racing-game motion feel smoother than 144Hz or 165Hz when the PC supplies correspondingly high frame rates. It does not make the image intrinsically sharper, and it cannot create frames the GPU does not render.
- Competitive shooters, racing games and esports titles are the clearest use cases.
- Demanding games with ray tracing or high-quality settings may require a powerful GPU, aggressive upscaling or reduced settings to approach 240fps.
- A slower system can still use the monitor; it will simply run below its maximum refresh rate.
- Confirm that the graphics card, laptop and chosen cable can output 2560×1440 at 240Hz.
The 0.03ms figure is a manufacturer GtG response-time rating, not a universal end-to-end input-lag measurement. Launch materials also cite VESA ClearMR 13000; ClearMR is a motion-clarity certification, not a promise that every game and setting will be blur-free.

Ports and connection limits
- 2× HDMI 2.0
- 1× DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3
- 1× USB-C with DisplayPort video and up to 15W (5V/3A) power delivery
- 1× USB 2.0 connection described for firmware updates
- 1× 3.5mm headphone output
DisplayPort 1.4 or USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode is the first connection to investigate for a PC or compatible laptop targeting 1440p/240Hz. HDMI 2.0 may not provide the same high-refresh flexibility in every configuration. The USB-C power budget is only 15W, so it cannot replace a normal laptop charger, and the documented USB connection should not be assumed to be a general-purpose USB hub. Cable contents and input-specific refresh limits can vary by region, so check the applicable manual and on-screen display information.
Gaming features
Gigabyte’s launch reports describe a firmware feature set aimed at competitive play:
- Tactical Switch 2.0 for changing display modes or resolutions intended for different game formats.
- Black Equalizer 2.0 to raise visibility in dark areas.
- Game Assist tools including crosshairs, timers and related overlays.
- PIP/PBP picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes.
- Ultra Clear Technology, described as intelligent black-frame insertion or motion-clarity processing.
These are feature and firmware claims from launch coverage and Notebookcheck’s report, not independent measurements. Tactical Switch and Ultra Clear will not improve every game equally.
OLED care, cooling and burn-in
Gigabyte’s launch material reports passive, fanless cooling using a large heatsink, an airflow path and graphene thermal film. It also describes AI OLED Care background algorithms intended to reduce burn-in risk. These measures reduce risk; they do not make an OLED panel immune to permanent image retention.

Static taskbars, desktop windows, status bars and other fixed elements remain the principal concern for people who use a monitor as an office display for many hours. Pixel-care cycles may require the monitor to remain powered after use. OLED’s near-black pixels and very fast response are particularly compelling in a darker room, while the manual’s 200-nit typical SDR specification and 400-nit APL 10% HDR figure set realistic expectations for bright-room HDR.
Gigabyte launch reporting mentioned a three-year burn-in warranty. However, warranty terms are regional and SKU-specific. Gigabyte’s U.S. page for the different GO27Q24G explicitly states three years including panel burn-in, but that WOLED policy does not prove identical coverage for every GO27Q24 or GO27Q24A market. Verify the warranty document that applies to the seller and country before buying.

Retail evidence in 2026 shows why the SKU matters:
| Listing | Panel and format | Displayed price | What it proves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Newegg GO27Q24A | Listed as 27-inch QD-OLED, 1440p, 240Hz | $299.99 when captured in August 2026; page also showed $449.99 as a reference price | A retail listing for the A suffix, not proof that every base GO27Q24 region has this price |
| Best Buy GO27Q24G | WOLED, 1440p, 240Hz, 0.03ms | $374.99 when captured; displayed comparable value $499.99 | A different WOLED product, not the QD-OLED launch model |
Prices, stock, regional naming, included cables and support policies can change. Treat a retailer’s suffix as a separate SKU until Gigabyte’s regional documentation confirms equivalence.
Who should buy it?
- Competitive players who can sustain high frame rates at 1440p.
- OLED buyers prioritizing deep blacks, saturated color and very fast pixel response.
- Users who prefer a 27-inch gaming format over a larger 32-inch 4K display.
- Laptop owners who need USB-C video but not substantial charging power.
- Buyers prepared to use OLED-care routines and limit prolonged static content.
Who should skip it?
- Bright-room users seeking very high sustained HDR brightness.
- Office-heavy users displaying static documents and taskbars all day.
- Buyers who require HDMI 2.1, a full USB hub or high-wattage USB-C charging.
- Anyone whose GPU cannot approach high frame rates at 1440p and therefore has little use for 240Hz.
- Buyers who need a confirmed local warranty but are considering an imported regional SKU.
How it compares with the main alternatives
1440p/240Hz IPS
An IPS monitor is generally a safer choice for prolonged static desktop work and often delivers higher large-area brightness without OLED image-retention concerns. Choose it when 240Hz matters more than OLED contrast or when the price difference is substantial.
Gigabyte GO27Q24G WOLED
The GO27Q24G keeps the 27-inch, 1440p and 240Hz formula but uses WOLED rather than QD-OLED. Its U.S. specification page states a three-year warranty including panel burn-in. It is a legitimate alternative, not a direct specification substitute; subpixel behavior, brightness and color characteristics can differ.
Gigabyte MO27U2 4K QD-OLED
Best Buy’s captured listing showed the MO27U2 at $701.99. It targets buyers wanting 4K UHD detail at 240Hz, but 4K/240Hz places substantially greater demands on the GPU than 1440p/240Hz. Its listing is available through Best Buy’s Gigabyte monitor search.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteBottom line
The GO27Q24 is a credible 27-inch-class QD-OLED specification: QHD resolution, 240Hz motion, very fast rated response, deep OLED contrast, USB-C video and a fully adjustable stand. The purchase decision is less about the headline numbers than about your GPU, room brightness, tolerance for OLED care, local warranty and the exact suffix on the listing. In particular, do not use the GO27Q24G’s WOLED price or warranty as proof of what the original GO27Q24 QD-OLED costs or covers in your market.
