Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe four-month Spotify Premium offer was a limited Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk, not a permanent benefit. To see whether your account can claim it, sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Game Pass, open Game Pass > Perks in the Xbox console, Xbox mobile app, or Xbox app on Windows, and look for a Spotify Premium tile. If the tile is missing, Xbox says Perks can vary by region, platform and time, so buying Ultimate will not necessarily create an offer.
Is the four-month Spotify offer still available?
Availability is campaign-specific. A June 21, 2021 deal listing described a four-month Spotify Premium ad-free trial for Ultimate members. Xbox’s official announcement on October 1, 2019 described a similar six-month promotion. Neither establishes a guaranteed four-month offer for every current Ultimate subscriber, and no current official source provides a universal duration, deadline, price or eligibility rule.
Use the Perks page on your own account as the source of truth. Xbox states that the number and content of Perks vary by region, platform and time, and that offers must be redeemed by the stated deadline.
Check for the Spotify Perk
- Sign in to the Microsoft account that owns your Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
- On an Xbox console, open the Game Pass area and select Perks.
- On Windows or mobile, open the Xbox app and select its Game Pass or Perks section.
- Look for a Spotify Premium tile. Open it and read the displayed eligibility rules, expiration date and plan restrictions.
If no Spotify tile appears, the promotion may have expired, may not be offered in your market or platform, may be limited to another Game Pass tier, or may exclude your Spotify account because it has used Premium before.

Historical eligibility rules
The documented Xbox campaign required residence in the United States or United Kingdom, a new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership, and eligibility for—and no previous use of—Spotify Premium. Xbox editor-in-chief Will Tuttle wrote that users “must be both eligible for, and new to Spotify Premium.” Previous Spotify Premium or Unlimited subscriptions, trials or introductory offers could make an account ineligible for that campaign.
Those rules describe the historical promotion, not a promise that every future Perk will use identical conditions. The offer currently displayed in your Xbox app controls.

Why you cannot redeem the code
No Perk is listed
Check the account, region, platform and Game Pass tier first. Perk content changes over time, and an expired or region-limited campaign will not appear for everyone.
Spotify says you are ineligible
Your account may have had Premium, Unlimited, a trial or another introductory promotion. Sign out and verify that you are using the Spotify account named in the offer; do not create duplicate accounts to bypass the stated terms.

Prevent an unwanted Spotify charge
This is a trial, not a permanent free subscription. Record the displayed end date, read Spotify’s promotional terms and cancel through the billing platform before renewal if you do not want a paid plan. Renewal prices and billing language vary by market and campaign, so rely on the terms shown during your redemption rather than an old price.
Quick decision checklist
- You are signed in to the Microsoft account that owns Ultimate.
- The Spotify tile is visible under Game Pass > Perks.
- Your region and platform are supported by that specific offer.
- Your Spotify account meets the displayed new-subscriber requirement.
- You have noted the redemption deadline and trial end date.
- You know where to cancel before recurring billing begins.
The Bottom Line
Open Game Pass > Perks and redeem Spotify only if the offer appears for your account. The four-month promotion was a limited campaign, so eligibility, duration and availability cannot be assumed from an old listing.
