MADFINGER Games CEO and co-founder Marek Rabas reportedly said the studio cannot stop every instance of cheating in Gray Zone Warfare, but is working on a plan to identify offenders and remove them quickly. The remarks were made during a media briefing about the upcoming Update 0.5: Rogue Ops, according to Insider Gaming.
What did the CEO say about cheaters?
Insider Gaming reported that Rabas said: “We cannot prohibit all the cheating, but we can find these people and kick them out as soon as possible.” He was describing an aim to respond quickly, not claiming that cheating has been eliminated or that every cheater can be detected.
The quote comes from Insider Gaming’s account of a media briefing; a primary transcript or recording was not available in the cited sources. The report says the briefing concerned Rogue Ops, the game’s upcoming Update 0.5.
What anti-cheat measures has MADFINGER described?
In its official anti-cheat announcement, MADFINGER said it integrated Denuvo technology with the Winds of War update to make tampering harder. The studio distinguishes this anti-tampering technology from kernel-level anti-cheat: it says it is not using Denuvo DRM and is not introducing new kernel-level measures.
#1 Best Overall
MADFINGER has not disclosed the specific systems or detection methods it uses. The team said it would not provide further detail because revealing those measures could help cheat developers adapt. Consequently, the published information does not establish which cheats the measures detect or how quickly a suspected offender can be identified.
The studio also said its internal benchmarks found no detrimental effect on frame rate or system responsiveness. That is MADFINGER’s own performance assessment, not an independent test.
How can players report suspected cheating?
MADFINGER asks players to include conclusive video evidence when submitting a report. A suspicion alone is not the same as a confirmed violation; the studio has not specified a particular recording tool or capture setup in its announcement.
What does the “close to 40 accounts” figure mean?
In a September 18 security report in its official Steam news archive, MADFINGER said its investigation identified close to 40 accounts that deliberately exploited an item-duplication issue during the Update 0.4 cycle. The studio said the bug, linked to helicopter deaths, had been fixed in a hotfix and that measures would include temporary suspensions and account wipes.

Rogue Ops is the context for the reported briefing. In its October 1, 2026 Steam announcement, MADFINGER described Update 0.5 as introducing a new gameplay loop and scheduled a Supporter Preview for October 19, followed by the update launch on October 22. The studio’s official game site describes Gray Zone Warfare as a PvE-first open-world tactical shooter.
