The company later listed a USD 1,799 starting price for the Polar Black Edition and scheduled shipments to begin in June 2026; that schedule is not confirmation that units shipped or remain available.
What is the AYANEO NEXT II?
AYANEO describes the NEXT II as its flagship Windows handheld gaming PC. The company unveiled it on November 29, 2025, then published a later release with expanded configurations and specifications. The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not results from independent testing.

How big is the NEXT II screen?
The later AYANEO release specifies a custom 9.06-inch OLED native-landscape display with a 2400×1504 resolution. It lists selectable refresh rates of 60, 120, 144, and 165Hz, up to 1155 nits of global brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. AYANEO’s November 2025 unveiling also listed 90Hz and described peak global brightness as 1100 nits, so those earlier figures differ from the later specification.
What processor does it use?
The later release lists two configurations: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Ryzen AI Max 385. AMD’s own specification page for the Max+ 395 describes a 16-core Zen 5 processor paired with Radeon 8060S graphics featuring 40 graphics cores, running at up to 2900MHz. AMD also lists support for up to 128GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 126 total TOPS, including up to 50 NPU TOPS. These are chip-level specifications; they do not establish NEXT II game performance, frame rates, or battery runtime.

What controls and cooling does AYANEO specify?
AYANEO lists adjustable-torque TMR joysticks, Hall-effect linear triggers with dual-mode locks, an eight-direction D-pad, two touchpads, and rear buttons. The later release also specifies dual-fan cooling. These are announced design features rather than independently assessed findings about comfort, temperatures, or noise.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Battery capacity: 115Wh or 116Wh?
The specifications changed between announcements. AYANEO’s November 29, 2025 unveiling gave the battery capacity as 115Wh and cited an 85W TDP claim; its later release lists a 116Wh battery. The later release is the source for the 116Wh figure. Capacity alone does not establish how long the handheld lasts in use, and no independently measured runtime is established here.
How much does the AYANEO NEXT II cost, and when is it supposed to ship?
AYANEO’s later release announced a USD 1,799 starting price for the Polar Black Edition and said shipments were scheduled to begin in June 2026. The announcement named the official AYANEO Store and Indiegogo as ordering routes. Because the stated shipping window has passed, the schedule should not be read as confirmation of shipment, present stock, or today’s price. Check the seller for current availability and the exact configuration before ordering.
What is still unknown?
The published announcements and AMD processor specifications do not provide independent NEXT II gaming benchmarks, measured battery life, a verified shipment outcome, current retail stock, or a current price. They also do not establish comparative results against other handhelds. Treat claims about performance, comfort, and endurance as manufacturer statements unless independent measurements become available.
