Freddy’s location and reward are confirmed by Epic’s October 1 event announcement; the other locations and loot below are guide-reported, not an official complete loot table. Spawn patterns can change during the live event, so treat unconfirmed entries as current reports rather than guarantees.
Fortnitemares 2026 boss locations and reported Mythic rewards
This table reflects guides updated October 2, 2026. Epic’s event announcement confirms Freddy Krueger at Nightmare Neighborhood and Freddy’s Nightmare, but does not publish a complete seven-boss location-and-reward list.
| Boss | Reported location and spawn behavior | Reported Mythic reward | Other reported drops or notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Freddy Krueger | Nightmare Neighborhood. He may appear disguised as a regular NPC rather than marked with a skull. | Freddy’s Nightmare, a melee claw item that lets you teleport into range and slash opponents. Epic confirms this function. | Guides report Slap Candy Corn, a random Fortnitemares Sprite, and a 1-Up Token. Freddy can teleport during the fight. |
| Freddy Fazbear | Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria in the northeast of the island; guides report he may move during a match. | Guides report a Wood Stake Shotgun Mythic, also called “High Stakes’ Shotgun” by one guide. The name is disputed. | Guides report a Chug Jug, a random Sprite, and Possess Animatronic Shell. |
| Foxy | Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, often near the stage at the start; guides report he can move. | Guides report a Wood Stake Shotgun Mythic; one guide uses the conflicting name “High Stakes’ Shotgun.” | Guides report a Chug Jug, a random Sprite, and Possess Animatronic Shell. |
| Chica | Reported random spawn across the island; guides do not establish a fixed location or reliable skull marker. | Guides report a Wood Stake Shotgun Mythic; the item name conflicts across guides. | Guides report a Chug Jug, a random Sprite, and Possess Animatronic Shell. |
| Bonnie | Reported random spawn across the island; guides do not establish a fixed location or reliable skull marker. | Guides report a Wood Stake Shotgun Mythic; the item name conflicts across guides. | Guides report a Chug Jug, a random Sprite, and Possess Animatronic Shell. |
| Adam Smasher | Reported near Geno’s Machine or Sunken Shores; he may also appear through a Boss Drop Rift Anomaly at a random island location. | Rebecca’s Guns Mythic. | Guides report a Chug Jug, a random Sprite, and a 1-Up Token. His jump can close vertical distance quickly. |
| Hush | Reported at Reality’s Reign or Heatwave Harbor; she may also appear through a Boss Drop Rift Anomaly at a random island location. | Enhanced Assault Rifle Mythic. | Guides report a Chug Jug, a random Sprite, and a 1-Up Token. Guides also say Gold Sprite odds are better. |
Epic confirms that the event features an animatronic-boss possession mechanic, but the detailed shell drop and the other listed loot come from guides. Do not treat the reported drops or locations as guaranteed.
How to find the bosses
Start with the named POIs
For the most predictable searches, head to Nightmare Neighborhood for Freddy Krueger and Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria for Freddy Fazbear or Foxy. Freddy may blend in as an ordinary NPC instead of showing a skull marker; the animatronics may move away from their reported starting positions.

Search widely for Chica and Bonnie
Guides describe Chica and Bonnie as island-wide random spawns, without a fixed POI or dependable skull marker. The available reports do not provide exact coordinates or a reliable route to find either one.
Watch for Boss Drop Rift Anomalies
Adam Smasher and Hush have reported named POI areas, but guides also describe possible appearances from Boss Drop Rift Anomalies at random island locations. Their named locations are useful places to check, not a guarantee they will be there in every match.
What to know about the rewards
Freddy Krueger’s Freddy’s Nightmare
Epic describes Freddy’s Nightmare as claws that let you teleport into range and slash opponents. That is the official functional description; no additional weapon statistics are established here.
The animatronic shotgun name is disputed
TechWiser and AllThings. How call the animatronic Mythic reward “Wood Stake Shotgun,” while Beebom calls it “High Stakes’ Shotgun.” Epic confirms Wood Stake Shotgun returns during the event but does not explicitly identify it as the Mythic boss drop. Check the live item display name rather than assuming the guide names are interchangeable.

Epic’s October 1, 2026 event announcement confirms Freddy Krueger at Nightmare Neighborhood, Freddy’s Nightmare, and the animatronic possession feature. The full roster, locations, spawn behavior, and most drops come from guides updated October 2, which broadly agree on the seven names but differ on the shotgun’s name. Epic says Fortnitemares spans Battle Royale, Horde Rush, and Reload, with new characters arriving throughout October, so the available roster and details may change. The October 15 boss update date mentioned by guides is not confirmed by Epic’s event announcement.
The sources do not establish exact boss coordinates, health values, weapon statistics, or guaranteed spawn rates. Epic’s live event details are at fortnite.com/news; the detailed guide reports are from TechWiser, AllThings. How, and Beebom.
