Its 11.5-inch 144Hz LCD, Snapdragon 870, 8,500mAh battery and up-to-44W wired charging made it a strong-value performance tablet at launch. In 2026, though, it is better described as a gaming-capable large-screen tablet than a dedicated gaming device: the chip is aging, and iQOO’s Chinese product page currently lists it as out of stock.
Launch prices and availability
iQOO introduced the Pad Air in China in March 2024. The official listed prices were:

During the initial sale period, IT之家 reported a ¥1,749 promotional price for the base 8GB/128GB version. That was a launch promotion, not the official listed starting price. iQOO’s specifications page lists the configurations and official prices; IT之家’s pre-sale report covers the promotion.
As of August 18, 2026, the official Chinese page shows the Pad Air as out of stock. The available sources establish a China launch, but not a U.S. launch, U.S. MSRP or broad international retail availability. The yuan figures are historical China launch prices, not a guide to what an imported unit costs today. Currency conversion alone would also leave out shipping, taxes, retailer markup, warranty differences and import costs. Check the iQOO regional selector for official regional product availability; the selector itself does not establish that the Pad Air is sold in each listed market.

What the iQOO Pad Air offers
The Pad Air has a 259.73 × 176.00 × 6.67mm metal body, weighs 530g and was offered in Blue Storm (蓝霆) and Grey Crystal (灰晶). iQOO describes its build as aluminum and unibody-style. It is a conventional tablet, not a handheld console: the official specifications do not identify built-in shoulder triggers, a cooling fan, detachable gamepad or dedicated gaming controls.
Display
Its 11.5-inch LCD has a 2800 × 1840 resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio and refresh-rate settings of 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and up to 144Hz. iQOO lists 500 nits peak brightness, HDR support, P3 wide color gamut, 10.7-billion-color support and a 1400:1 contrast ratio. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.
The 3:2 shape gives more vertical room than many 16:10 tablets, which can be useful for reading, browsing and documents. It is less naturally suited to widescreen video, and some games may use a narrower image area or show more prominent bars.

Processor, memory and storage
The tablet uses Qualcomm’s eight-core, 7nm Snapdragon 870, with a peak CPU frequency of up to 3.2GHz in iQOO’s product material. Memory is LPDDR5; storage is UFS 3.1. Configurations pair 8GB or 12GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. MicroSD expansion is not identified in the official specifications, so buyers should choose enough built-in capacity for their games and media.

iQOO advertises an AnTuTu score above 850,000. That is a vendor claim, not a guaranteed result across software versions, test conditions or individual devices.
Battery, charging and audio
The battery is rated at 8,500mAh typical capacity and 8,310mAh rated capacity. iQOO claims up to 12.6 hours of continuous HD-video playback under its test conditions; that figure is not a gaming-runtime estimate. The four full-range speakers are promoted with 3D spatial-audio and Super Audio features, plus a 9.4cc sound chamber.

Cameras and connections
The Pad Air has a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera; rear video recording is specified up to 1080p. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. iQOO says the full-featured USB-C connection supports external display output up to 4K at 60Hz. The cited specifications show WLAN connectivity rather than cellular or SIM support, so treat this as a Wi-Fi tablet unless a specific regional model proves otherwise.
Software and accessories
The China model runs OriginOS 3 for tablets. iQOO promotes split-screen and floating-window multitasking, with up to four applications on screen, as well as cross-device features with compatible vivo and iQOO phones. Its listed tools include PC remote control, keyboard-and-mouse collaboration, clipboard sharing, file transfer and phone-to-tablet task handoff. The iQOO Pencil and Smart Keyboard Air are optional accessories listed for the tablet; their current prices are not established here.
Because this is a China-market model, do not assume an imported tablet will behave like a locally sold Android device. Language options, Google services, app availability, update policy and warranty can depend on the exact software build and seller. Confirm the ROM and Google Play status before buying.

Does the Pad Air make sense for gaming?
At launch, its combination of a fast display, capable-for-its-era processor, quick storage, large battery and four speakers made it appealing for Android games. iQOO also promotes game display enhancements, a gaming multitasking window, high-frame-rate game adaptations and touch-sampling modes whose instantaneous rate can reach 540Hz in some modes. Those are manufacturer-described features, not proof that every game supports them or that the tablet sustains a particular frame rate.
The distinctions matter: 144Hz is the panel’s maximum refresh rate, touch-sampling rate describes how often touch input is sampled, and frame rate is how many images a game actually renders. Game support, resolution, graphics settings, software optimization and thermal behavior all affect the result. A 144Hz screen does not mean a game runs at 144 frames per second. The Snapdragon 870 is a 2021-era platform; it remains suitable for many games at sensible settings, but it is not current gaming-tablet silicon in 2026.
No independent FPS results, long-session thermal measurements, sustained-load tests or gaming battery tests are established by the cited launch material. For a game that cannot make use of 144Hz, selecting 90Hz or 120Hz may be more practical than running the panel at its maximum setting without a gameplay benefit.

What 44W charging means in practice
The Pad Air supports up to 44W wired flash charging over USB-C. iQOO’s listed maximum charging profile is 11V/4A, with other listed profiles of 11V/3A, 10V/2.25A and 5V/2A. Reaching the maximum depends on a compatible adapter and cable, the charging protocol, battery level, temperature and the tablet’s charging controls. Charging normally slows as the battery fills; gaming while plugged in can add heat and affect the practical charging rate.
The rating does not establish a full-charge time. The available specifications give no independently verified time from empty to full, and an arbitrary USB-C charger may not supply the Pad Air’s maximum input.
Should you buy one in 2026?
Consider it if
- You find a well-priced unit from a seller with a clear return policy and you specifically want a large, high-refresh Android screen.
- You are comfortable checking the China ROM, language and Google-service situation before purchase.
- You want a tablet for a mix of gaming, media, reading and productivity rather than a purpose-built gaming handheld.
- You can choose the right storage configuration up front, since microSD expansion is not listed.
Skip it if
- You need an official U.S. warranty, confirmed local support or a straightforward return and repair path.
- You want the latest gaming chipset, built-in controls or dedicated cooling hardware.
- You rely on a particular banking, streaming, DRM or enterprise app and cannot verify that it works on the imported software build.
- You expect 144Hz in every game, a specified gaming battery life or a particular charging time.
For a buyer prioritizing newer, explicitly gaming-focused hardware and clearer regional support, Lenovo’s Legion Tab family is a comparison point, though it is smaller than the 11.5-inch iQOO and no current price comparison is established here. Verdict
The iQOO Pad Air was an attractive China-market value proposition in 2024: a 144Hz 2.8K-class screen, Snapdragon 870, fast memory and storage, large battery and 44W charging at a low listed starting price. Its case in 2026 depends less on that launch spec sheet than on the actual seller, price, software region, warranty and condition. Treat it as an older performance tablet that can play games, not as a current dedicated gaming device.
