There is no confirmed Act 2 total of 32 collectibles in the available sources. A community guide index instead lists 38 collectibles, alongside separate totals for Hard Cases, Supply Caches and Secondary Objectives. The route cues below can help you find items, but treat those counts and third-party directions as guide claims rather than official, independently verified game data.
How many collectibles are in Act 2?
The number 32 is not confirmed by the sources reviewed. A community post indexed on October 3, 2026 labels its Act 2 guide with “38 Collectibles / 36 Hard Cases / 11 Supply Caches / 7 Secondary Objectives.” That is a user-posted guide index, not an official game statistic: r/GearsOfWar community post.

Category labels matter when following a walkthrough. Patch Crazy’s route includes standard collectibles as well as Hard Cases, Supply Caches and side objectives, so its entries should not be treated as one undifferentiated collectible count: Patch Crazy’s Act 2 guide.
Xbox Wire confirms a campaign achievement, “Memories From E-Day,” for finding all campaign collectibles, but does not give an Act 2-specific total. It also lists achievements that unlock during Act 2: Xbox Wire achievement article.

Where to find the early Act 2 items
FPSHUB describes Act 2 as opening into a large area with optional exploration and marks its guide as work in progress. Its opening directions are useful landmark cues, but remain third-party guide directions rather than independently tested findings: FPSHUB’s Act 2 guide.
- Helmet: At the start, go behind the ruined bus at the end of the street.
- Sniper Goggles: In the bridge’s first control room, search the far end on the left.
- Bridge Worker’s Lunch Kit: After crossing the bridge and falling from a cliff, turn left.
Chapter 2: the main exploration stretch

When to pause and search
Patch Crazy flags entering the hotel and proceeding through gates as points of no return along its described route, and recommends checking nearby items before moving on. It also notes that some locations become available only at particular story stages. These are the guide’s route warnings; they should not be read as an official statement about checkpoint or replay behavior. Follow the walkthrough’s sequence and search adjacent areas before advancing through a flagged transition.
