Sony says members can add them to their libraries from Tuesday, October 6 through Monday, November 2. The lineup may vary by region, so check your local PlayStation Store when the games become available.

Sony describes F1 25 as the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. Its October announcement lists each game’s platforms and play formats; the lineup is a mix of racing, extraction-shooter action and team-based shooting.

When can you claim the October games?
The October Monthly Games claim window runs from October 6 to November 2, 2026, according to Sony’s September 30 announcement. You need an active PlayStation Plus membership to claim and access these subscription games. Sony cautions that the lineup may differ by region, so confirm availability in your regional PlayStation Store on release day.
Last chance to claim September’s games
Monday, October 5, 2026 is the final stated day to add September’s Monthly Games to your library. Those games are Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. If you want any of them, claim them before the October lineup begins.

How the games differ
F1 25: racing and team management
F1 25 is the PS5-only racing option in this month’s selection. Sony highlights Career and My Team 2.0 alongside online play, including a squad mode in F1 World, so it offers both solo and multiplayer formats.
Hunt: Showdown 1896: solo or small-team bounty runs
In Hunt: Showdown 1896, players track bosses and contend with rival Hunters while trying to secure a bounty and escape. You can enter alone or bring as many as two teammates. It is the PS5 option for players looking for tense, objective-focused matches rather than a racing or conventional team-shooter format.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2: co-op on PS5 and PS4
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is the only listed game available on both PS5 and PS4. Sony says you assemble a team of four, choose equipment and fight voxel-style enemies. It supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split screen on both consoles.
