What is coming to GOG
GamingOnLinux reports that both OCTOPATH TRAVELER and OCTOPATH TRAVELER II are coming to GOG as Preservation Program releases, with October 8 given as the arrival date. The date and the sequel’s arrival are attributed to that report; the gathered official GOG information directly confirms the first game’s listing and program status, but does not establish a live GOG listing for the sequel.

What the Preservation Program means
GOG describes the program as a commitment to put resources into maintaining games’ compatibility with modern and future systems. It says participating games receive extensive quality testing and may get custom compatibility fixes or quality-of-life improvements. The program is therefore a preservation and maintenance commitment, not simply a label indicating that a game is sold in the store.
GOG also identifies technical support and continued access to offline installers as practical features of its catalog. Those broader program and catalog statements should not be read as confirmation of specific extras or fixes for either Octopath game beyond what an official product listing states.

What the GOG edition offers for the first game
