Can a gift card pay for the cosmetics?
Yes. Epic says V-Bucks can be used for Outfits, Pickaxes, Emotes, Wraps and Passes, so a compatible card that funds V-Bucks can cover cosmetics. Fortnite gift cards are rolling out at retailers by region and are intended to fund V-Bucks, Crew and Packs; they are replacing V-Bucks cards over time. A gift card funds an account balance—it is not physical Freddy or event merchandise. Epic’s V-Bucks card information Epic’s gift card announcement
Before purchasing, confirm that the card type is available in your country and that its region matches the Epic account where it will be redeemed. Epic notes that cards in some territories are restricted to accounts in the matching region.
