FX Senshi Kurumi-chan turns a university student’s attempt to recover her late mother’s 20 million yen FX loss into a high-stakes drama about foreign-exchange margin trading. Its cute character designs sit beside a premise that officially emphasizes unrealized losses, forced liquidation and emotional pressure. It is a fictional story about FX—not a guide to trading.
What is FX Senshi Kurumi-chan about?
The official anime site introduces Fukuga Kurumi, a university student who enters FX in hopes of recovering the 20 million yen her late mother lost. FX here means foreign-exchange margin trading. The 20 million yen figure is part of Kurumi’s fictional backstory, not a statistic about real-world trading losses.
The official description points to unrealized losses and forced liquidation (ロスカット), presenting FX as a world that can swing from euphoria to despair in an instant. Other characters who trade FX enter the story as well. The contrast between cute designs and a volatile money-game premise is part of the title’s immediate appeal—and its warning signal. Is FX Fighter Kurumi-chan based on a manga?
Yes. FX Senshi Kurumi-chan (FX戦士くるみちゃん), also rendered in English as FX Fighter Kurumi-chan, is adapted from the manga written by Demunyan and illustrated by Daisuki Tansan. The official anime site identifies Comic Flapper as its serialization venue and links to Kadokawa pages for the Japanese manga volumes. [Official anime website]

Where should I start with the manga?
Start with volume 1 if you want the story from its beginning. The official site’s Books section lists volumes 1–10 and marks volume 10 with a September 18 release notice; check Kadokawa’s listing and your local retailer for the current edition, language, release details and stock. The linked volumes are Japanese editions, so confirm whether a translated edition is available in your marketplace before ordering. [Official anime website]
Who is making the anime, and who voices Kurumi’s friends?
The official staff list names Yuki Ogawa as director, Shintaro Matsushima as assistant director, Kenta Ihara for series composition and script, Kazuyuki Ueda for character design, Takuro Iga for music, and Passione for animation production. FXVTuber Rion is credited as FX supervisor. That credit is a production role, not evidence that the anime is an independent financial course or a substitute for regulated advice. Does the anime explain how to trade FX?
The official site credits an FX supervisor, but that alone does not establish the series as practical instruction. The verified premise and promotional description frame FX as story material, with losses, liquidation and psychological swings at the forefront. Treat it as dramatic fiction rather than a way to learn trading or make financial decisions.
