Ghost of Yōtei update 2.005 reportedly adds Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR) to the base PS5 game and enables it by default, though that setting detail comes from a secondary report rather than an accessible official patch note. The Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition launched October 1, 2026, bundling the main game with the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, Most Wanted mode, Legends, and digital deluxe content. Existing owners can get the expansion and mode through a separate upgrade; several version 2.0 features are available to all owners without that purchase.
What update 2.005 changes about QSSR
MP1st reported on October 1, 2026, that update 2.005 / 2.005.000 adds Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR) to the base PS5 version of Ghost of Yōtei and turns it on by default. The outlet’s page was inaccessible for direct verification, and the official announcement reviewed here does not confirm the QSSR setting. Treat the default-on detail as reported, not independently verified. MP1st’s report on update 2.005
No measured resolution, frame rate, latency, or image-quality comparison for QSSR in Ghost of Yōtei is established by the available sources. The report therefore does not show how much QSSR changes the experience or whether it involves a performance trade-off.
