It is a single-player action-and-mystery adventure with puzzles, minigames, traps and enemies; Nintendo says newcomers do not need to play earlier Creepy Tale games first.
What to expect from Snow Child
Nintendo describes a sinister, twisted version of the Creepy Tale universe, where players follow Blizzy into Hell. The adventure combines exploration and puzzles with minigames, traps and enemies that call for agility and stealth. Nintendo’s listing characterizes it as “An explosive mix of action and mystery, seasoned with black humor and a sinister atmosphere.”
The story is presented as accessible on its own: Nintendo says playing previous Creepy Tale games is not necessary to understand Snow Child.
Nintendo Switch edition and listed features
The Switch release is listed as a digital edition for one player on a single system. Nintendo gives an estimated download size of 2.9 GB and lists TV, tabletop and handheld play modes. The Canadian storefront lists these supported languages: Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, American English and Polish.

Nintendo says game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch on Switch 2. It also cautions that software compatibility and play experience may differ on Switch Lite.
Release dates by platform
The October 15 date is the Nintendo Switch release date; it is not the PC release date. The Steam listing gives May 14, 2026 for the PC game, while the Xbox listing also gives October 15, 2026.
