Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To loop a finished diya-and-rain video as a YouTube Live broadcast, send it through a streaming encoder such as OBS Studio. Add the video as an OBS Media Source, enable Loop, connect OBS to a YouTube Live stream, and start streaming. YouTube’s playback-loop button only repeats a video for an individual viewer; it does not broadcast that video live.
What you need before starting
- A finished video file containing the diya scene and rain ambience.
- A computer running OBS Studio and a reliable internet connection with enough upload capacity for your chosen stream quality.
- A YouTube channel with live-streaming access enabled and no active restriction preventing you from streaming.
- Permission to broadcast every visual and audio element in the video, including the rain recording and any music.
Check live-stream access in YouTube Studio before configuring OBS. YouTube says restrictions can disable live-stream access; an active restriction cannot be bypassed by streaming from another channel. Its guidance also includes age-related requirements, including adult presence when someone under 16 streams from an adult-owned account. See YouTube’s live-streaming access guidance.
Loop one video in OBS Studio
- Create a scene. Open OBS Studio and create or select a scene for the ambience stream.
- Add the video file. In the Sources panel, choose + > Media Source. Give the source a name, select the local video file, and confirm.
- Enable looping. Open the Media Source properties and check Loop. OBS will restart the file when playback reaches its end. If you want it to start over after you stop and restart the stream, enable Restart playback when source becomes active as well.
- Check the image and audio. Confirm the video fills the canvas as intended, the rain can be heard at a suitable level, and no unwanted audio source is active. Use OBS’s audio mixer to watch for clipping.
- Connect to YouTube Live. In YouTube Studio, open the live-stream setup and use the stream connection details shown there to connect OBS. In OBS, enter the stream key in its streaming settings or use the account connection option if available. Keep the key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Test before going public. Start a test stream or use an appropriate private/unlisted setup, then check the picture, audio, and stream health in YouTube Studio. Let the video reach its end once and confirm it begins again smoothly.
- Start the broadcast. When the preview and stream health look right, start streaming in OBS and confirm that the YouTube Live Control Room shows the broadcast as live.
OBS documents Media Source looping on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with support for common video and audio formats. For a sequence of files rather than one repeating clip, use VLC Video Source, add the files to its playlist, and enable Loop Playlist. OBS requires VLC to be installed for that source. See the OBS Media Sources guide.
Choose YouTube encoder settings that your connection can sustain
YouTube recommends testing before going live, choosing quality that is reliable for your actual internet connection, and monitoring stream health during the broadcast. For H.264 at 1080p and 30 fps, its current guidance lists a recommended bitrate range of 5–14 Mbps. That is YouTube’s recommendation, not a guarantee that your upload connection can sustain it without interruption.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Keyframe interval: YouTube recommends two seconds and says not to exceed four seconds.
- Protocol and encoder: YouTube’s encoder guidance covers RTMP/RTMPS streaming and lists codec, audio, and bitrate recommendations. Match OBS’s output settings to the current guidance in YouTube’s live encoder settings.
- Upload headroom: A connection that barely reaches the selected video bitrate may be unreliable, especially if other devices are using the same connection. Lower the output quality if YouTube reports connection problems.
Do not assume a high-resolution setting is better if the upload connection cannot maintain it. A stable stream at a lower quality is more useful than a higher-quality stream that repeatedly buffers or drops.
Use a playlist when the ambience has multiple clips
For several diya shots or rain scenes, add a VLC Video Source instead of creating separate scenes that need manual changes. Install VLC, add the files to the source playlist, and turn on Loop Playlist. Review the order and transitions before broadcasting; playlist looping repeats the sequence, while Media Source looping repeats a single file.

Copyright, monetization, and keeping a replay
Use material you are allowed to broadcast
YouTube states: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A matched stream may show a placeholder image, prompt you to stop using the material, or be interrupted or terminated if the material remains. A license alone may not prevent interruption if the rights holder has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
For a diya-and-rain video, confirm the rights for the footage, sound recording, music, and any other included material. Owning the video file or finding it online does not by itself establish permission to broadcast it.

Do not treat live status as a monetization guarantee
YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to live streams. Its policy page says the former “repetitious content” policy was renamed “inauthentic content” in a 2025-07-15 update, and explains that generic, repetitive, or mass-produced material may be ineligible. Reused-content review is separate from copyright enforcement, so permission to use content does not guarantee monetization approval. An original diya scene paired with independently recorded rain may help show authorship, but it does not guarantee approval or revenue. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
Keep your own copy if the replay matters
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured. Keep the original file and make a local recording if you need a dependable replay. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

Fix common looping and live-stream problems
- The video stops instead of restarting: Check that Loop is enabled in the Media Source properties. For a multi-file source, confirm Loop Playlist is enabled in VLC Video Source.
- YouTube is not receiving the stream: Check the stream key and selected YouTube stream connection in OBS, then confirm you are using the current stream details from YouTube Studio. Never share the key publicly.
- YouTube reports poor stream health: Reduce OBS output bitrate or resolution to a level your upload connection can sustain, and check whether other devices are consuming bandwidth. Compare settings with YouTube’s current encoder recommendations.
- Picture works but rain audio is missing: Check that the Media Source audio is not muted in OBS and that the audio meter moves during playback. Verify the file itself contains the expected audio track.
- The stream is interrupted after a copyright match: Stop using the matched material and review YouTube’s notice. If you have a license, contact the rights holder about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist; a license may not prevent an automated interruption by itself.
- The live stream ends before the intended duration: Check the computer’s power and sleep settings, network stability, and OBS status. YouTube may also terminate a stream because of a rights match or account restriction.
Cost and control: local OBS or cloud looping
| Consideration | OBS on your computer | StreamNeo cloud service |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Your computer and internet connection | In the cloud; the computer at home does not need to stay on |
| Setup | Configure OBS, the media source, stream connection, and output settings | Upload the video or playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live |
| Quality and encoding | Choose output settings your hardware and upload connection can sustain | Uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers, at one flat price per slot |
| Recovery | You are responsible for monitoring OBS and restoring a dropped stream | Automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream |
| Cost | OBS software is free; computer, power, and internet costs depend on your setup | First day free with no card, then plans by billing length; see current details at StreamNeo pricing |
OBS gives you direct control over your local scene and stream setup. A cloud service removes the need to keep your own computer running, but its service claims and current terms should be checked with the provider. The sources establish no independent comparative uptime figure.
