To run a study-beats radio stream on YouTube, prepare music and visuals you have the right to broadcast, enable YouTube Live, then send a looping audio-and-video feed from an encoder to YouTube using your stream URL and key. Test the whole feed before launch and plan for interruptions: a continuous 24/7 broadcast is not guaranteed, and YouTube may not archive a stream that runs longer than 12 hours.
Before you start: clear the music and visual rights
Use music and visuals you own or are explicitly licensed to use for this broadcast. Check that the permissions cover live streaming and, if relevant, replay and monetization. License terms vary by rights holder, so do not assume that permission for one use covers another.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the video with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. Even if you have a license, YouTube warns that a stream can still be interrupted when the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Ask the rights owner whether allowlisting is available and arrange it before going live. A “royalty-free” label, a private test, or purchasing a track does not by itself establish that you have every necessary right. YouTube Help: copyrighted content on live streams.
Check that your channel can stream live
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. If this is your first time enabling live streaming, activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave setup until the scheduled start. Check the channel’s eligibility in YouTube Studio. YouTube Help: get started with live streaming.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose how to run the encoder
YouTube accepts encoder feeds from streaming software on a computer or from a hardware encoder. Either approach can send a prepared playlist and visual; the choice is mainly about what equipment you already have and can keep available.
| Approach | What to consider for a continuous stream |
|---|---|
| Software encoder on a computer | Uses a computer that must remain powered, connected to the internet, and running the encoder. You can test the actual files and audio/video output on that machine, and can make a local recording if your software supports it. The computer, operating system, encoder, and network all need to remain available; plan how you will respond to a crash or disconnection. |
| Hardware encoder | YouTube recognizes hardware encoders as an option, but the right model and its capabilities depend on the device. Verify that it supports your intended input, output settings, and looping workflow. It still needs reliable power, media input, and network access, and you should test its restart and recovery behavior. |
| StreamNeo cloud service | For uploaded videos streamed to YouTube, StreamNeo runs the loop in the cloud rather than on a home computer. Details are below. |
YouTube’s encoder guidance describes the software and hardware categories, but does not establish a product-by-product comparison. Whichever encoder you choose, treat restart and failover as things to configure and test rather than platform guarantees. YouTube Help: live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.

Set up the YouTube stream and encoder
- Create the encoder stream in YouTube Studio. Create or schedule a live stream for an encoder and open its stream settings in Live Control Room. Keep the stream URL and stream key available for encoder setup.
- Protect the stream key. YouTube describes the key as a password-like credential. Enter it only in your encoder and do not share it publicly. If it is exposed, replace it in the stream settings.
- Add the playlist and visual. In your encoder, choose the prepared study-beats audio and a visual you have permission to broadcast. Confirm the playlist advances and that the visual has the movement or still image you intend viewers to see.
- Use YouTube’s recommended connection and encoding settings. YouTube recommends RTMPS, H.264 video, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate encoding, and a two-second keyframe interval (no more than four seconds). Its suggested video bitrate depends on codec, resolution, and frame rate, so choose a value from the current YouTube table that matches your exact output rather than applying one universal bitrate.
- Set the audio deliberately. YouTube’s documented encoder settings recommend 128 Kbps stereo audio. Check the encoder’s audio source and channel configuration so the stream is not silent, distorted, or unexpectedly mono.
- Keep bitrate within the connection’s capacity. Add the audio and video bitrates together to estimate total stream upload demand. YouTube recommends upload capacity with 20% headroom above the stream bitrate; leave more margin if other devices share the connection. If the connection cannot sustain the chosen output, reduce the resolution, frame rate, or bitrate using YouTube’s recommendations for the resulting setting.
See YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrate tables at YouTube Help: encoder settings for live streaming and its network guidance at YouTube Help: troubleshoot live stream issues.
Test, start, and monitor the broadcast
- Send a preview first. Start the encoder feed and wait for the preview in YouTube Live Control Room. Confirm that the picture appears and that the audio is audible before starting the public broadcast.
- Test representative content. Listen to the actual playlist and check the visual while it moves or changes as it will during the stream. A test with no audio or a static placeholder will not reveal problems in the intended feed.
- Check stream health. Review the Live Control Room’s stream health and verify that the output remains stable. During the broadcast, keep an eye on audio/video and the encoder host’s power, network, and media playback.
- Plan for interruptions. A network disruption can break a stream. The computer or encoder, power, files, and internet connection all need to remain available for the feed to continue. Decide who will notice a failure and how the encoder will be restarted; test that recovery process before relying on it.
YouTube recommends testing with audio and motion like the intended stream and monitoring health, but its guidance does not promise uninterrupted 24/7 service or automatic recovery. YouTube Help: live stream troubleshooting and network tips.

Plan for replays and viewer rewind
YouTube’s Help guidance says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR rewind can also be limited or unavailable for a stream longer than 12 hours. Do not promise viewers a complete replay of an uninterrupted multi-day broadcast.
If preserving the audio/video matters, keep a separate local recording and verify that it is being saved. One option is to end and restart broadcasts to create shorter sessions, but that introduces breaks and does not make a multi-day uninterrupted replay available. Check current YouTube guidance before settling on an archive workflow: YouTube Help: archive live streams and YouTube Help: DVR on live streams.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I stream music 24/7 on YouTube?
Yes, if your channel is eligible, your encoder and connection remain available, and you have the rights to broadcast the music and visuals. YouTube does not guarantee an uninterrupted stream.
Will YouTube save the whole 24/7 stream as a replay?
Not necessarily. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured, and DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable.
Does having a music license guarantee YouTube will not interrupt the stream?
No. YouTube warns that licensed third-party music may still trigger an interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID.
