To schedule an edited video as a YouTube live broadcast with OneStream Live, connect your YouTube channel, open Pre-recorded Stream, add the video, choose YouTube as the destination, set the stream details and time, then select Schedule Broadcast. If you already created the YouTube event, use OneStream’s Existing Event route so you attach the video to that event instead of creating another one.
Check YouTube eligibility and connect your channel
Before setting up the broadcast, check YouTube’s live-streaming requirements: YouTube Help says the channel must be verified, must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16 years old. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance (accessed October 3, 2026).
- In OneStream Live, open Social Platforms.
- Add or connect YouTube, select the relevant account and channel, choose the category, and complete the connection. OneStream’s connection instructions were updated August 18, 2026; see OneStream’s YouTube connection help.
Once connected, the channel will be available as a destination when you schedule a prerecorded stream. OneStream interface labels can change, so check the current account UI if a label differs.
Schedule a single prerecorded stream
- Open Pre-recorded Stream in OneStream Live and click Add Videos.
- Choose a video from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Select the content and continue.
- Choose YouTube as the destination. If more than one channel is connected, select the intended channel.
- Enter the stream details. OneStream’s onboarding guidance identifies title, description, tags, thumbnail, scheduled time, and announcement settings as items to review. The precise controls may vary by workflow or version.
- Review the selected content, destination, details, and time, then click Schedule Broadcast.

Attach the video to an existing YouTube event
If the event is already set up on YouTube, use the existing-event workflow rather than starting a separate scheduled broadcast:
- Confirm that the YouTube channel is connected in OneStream.
- Create a stream and select Pre-recorded, then choose Existing Event.
- Select the intended YouTube event.
- Add the video, then review the title, description, thumbnail, privacy setting, and date and time.
- Click Schedule Broadcast.
This route is documented in OneStream’s existing-event instructions. Check the selected event carefully before scheduling, especially if the channel has several upcoming events.

Set a recurring schedule or use advanced options
Repeat the stream
To schedule repeated broadcasts instead of a single occurrence, choose the content, destination, stream details, and start time, then switch on Repeat Stream. Configure Repeats Every with an interval in days or weeks, and set the occurrence count. See OneStream’s recurring prerecorded-stream guide.
Review advanced controls and plan availability
OneStream’s advanced-scheduling help article, updated July 7, 2026, lists options for video orientation (180°/360°), deleting the VOD after a stream, YouTube DVR, YouTube Kids designation, and YouTube monetization. That article says advanced scheduling is supported on Standard and higher-tier plans. Confirm both your current plan and the controls available in your account; plan terms and interface availability can change. Monetization also depends on YouTube channel eligibility and YouTube’s rules. See OneStream’s advanced scheduling help.

Understand what viewers see and when notifications happen
A YouTube stream scheduled for later may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds. Viewers can select Notify me, and YouTube says it sends a notification when the scheduled live stream is about to begin. These are YouTube event notifications, distinct from OneStream’s Announce Stream option and announcement-time controls. See YouTube’s live-stream settings help and check the announcement controls shown in your current OneStream workflow.
YouTube’s advice to configure an encoder well in advance, start it before the event, and preview it in Live Control Room is written for encoder workflows. It is not a requirement for OneStream’s cloud-hosted prerecorded workflow. Still, review the event and destination in advance and, when practical, test your setup before relying on a scheduled broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.

Troubleshoot a scheduled stream
- YouTube is missing from destinations: Open Social Platforms and confirm the correct YouTube account and channel are connected. Reconnect if needed, then return to the scheduling workflow.
- You cannot start live streaming on the channel: Check YouTube verification, the prior-90-day restriction rule, and the minimum age guidance before troubleshooting OneStream settings.
- The stream is scheduled as a second event: If you intended to use an event you already created, restart the setup and choose Existing Event before selecting the event and video.
- A listed advanced control is unavailable: Check the current account’s plan and interface. The cited OneStream article places advanced scheduling on Standard and higher tiers, but availability should be confirmed against current terms.
- The event announcement is not what you expected: Review OneStream’s announcement option and event announcement time separately from YouTube’s upcoming-event display and viewer notifications.
