Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →To stream recorded NEET biology lectures as a continuous YouTube Live broadcast, send an encoder feed from OBS Studio: use a looping Media Source for one lecture or a VLC Video Source playlist for several. YouTube Live must be enabled on your channel, and you must have the rights to stream every recording and included asset. A local setup runs only while the computer, files and internet connection remain available; for a cloud-run alternative, see StreamNeo.
Before you set up the stream
- Confirm permission for every item. Educational use does not automatically grant rebroadcast rights. Make sure you are authorized to stream each lecture, soundtrack, image and other included material. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches; a match can replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it or terminate it. A license may not be sufficient on its own if the rights owner needs to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. YouTube’s live-streaming terms require the content provider to represent that it has the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation on Google services. YouTube copyright guidance · YouTube Terms
- Check channel eligibility. Verify your channel and confirm that live streaming is enabled. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so do this before your planned launch. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming
- Choose a playback method. OBS Studio’s Media Source is the direct option for one file. Its VLC Video Source supports a playlist and requires VLC to be installed. OBS Project: Media Sources
Set up a continuous stream in OBS
1. Prepare the lecture file or playlist
Keep the authorized lecture files accessible on the computer that will run OBS. For one lecture, use the file itself as a Media Source. For multiple lectures, install VLC first; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC. Build a playlist in the order you want the lessons to play and check that every item opens correctly.
2. Create the playback source
- In OBS, create or select a scene for the broadcast.
- For one lecture, add a Media Source, select the video file, and enable Loop.
- For several lectures, add a VLC Video Source, add the playlist files, and enable Loop Playlist.
- Check the preview and audio meters. Confirm that the lecture image is framed correctly and that the intended audio is audible.
OBS documents the Media Source and VLC Video Source controls in its media sources guide. If VLC Video Source is missing, install the compatible VLC version and restart OBS.
3. Create the YouTube Live stream and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and configure a live stream.
- In the encoder connection settings, select the stream key and server URL provided for that stream.
- Enter those connection details in OBS’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key as a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start sending the feed from OBS and wait for the preview to appear in Live Control Room before starting the broadcast.
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains how the encoder sends video to the configured stream. Use the current values shown in your Live Control Room rather than copying a key or server address from another setup. YouTube Help: Set up your encoder for live streaming

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
4. Set and test stream quality
Choose a resolution and bitrate your internet connection can sustain; do not assume that the highest available setting is the safest. YouTube recommends RTMPS and constant-bitrate encoding, and advises testing with audio and movement similar to the planned broadcast. Leave 20% upload-bandwidth headroom beyond the total stream bitrate, including room for other network activity. YouTube Help: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions · YouTube Help: Troubleshoot live stream issues
Run an upload-speed test under the conditions in which you expect to stream, then test the actual scene and lecture playback. A speed-test result is not a guarantee: network interruptions can break a live stream. YouTube Help: Troubleshoot live stream issues

5. Start and monitor the broadcast
Check the Live Control Room preview before going live. Once broadcasting, monitor stream health, picture and sound rather than assuming that a looping source means the YouTube broadcast is healthy. A loop repeats the file or playlist only while OBS, its source files, the network and YouTube remain available.
Choose one lecture or a playlist
| Method | Best fit | Requirements and trade-offs |
|---|---|---|
| OBS Media Source with Loop | Repeating one lecture | OBS, a local accessible file, a running computer and a reliable upload connection. Simple source setup. OBS Project |
| OBS VLC Video Source with Loop Playlist | Rotating through multiple lectures | OBS, VLC, a configured playlist, a running computer and a reliable upload connection. Check playlist order and that every file plays. OBS Project |
Plan separately for replays and archives
A continuous broadcast is not a dependable way to preserve a complete replay. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. This is platform guidance, not a guarantee that every shorter stream will be archived. Keep the original files. If replay availability matters, schedule separate sessions below that threshold and check the current archive settings in YouTube. YouTube Help: Archive live streams

Troubleshoot common problems
The stream does not appear in Live Control Room
- Confirm OBS is using the stream key and server URL shown for the intended YouTube stream.
- Check that live streaming is enabled on the channel; first-time activation can take up to 24 hours.
- Wait for the encoder preview, then start the broadcast from the Live Control Room if required by the stream setup.
VLC Video Source is unavailable
- Install VLC and restart OBS.
- For 64-bit OBS, use 64-bit VLC.
The feed stutters or drops
- Lower the bitrate or resolution to a level your upload connection can sustain.
- Leave YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom and account for other devices or network use.
- Check stream health and test again with representative lecture audio and motion. Network interruptions can break the stream; a local loop cannot prevent them. YouTube Help: Troubleshoot live stream issues
The broadcast is interrupted over a rights match
- Review the matched content and confirm you have the necessary streaming rights for that material.
- If you have a license, ask the rights owner whether your channel must be allowlisted in Content ID.
- Do not restart with the same material until the rights issue is resolved; live scans can interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube copyright guidance

StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so your home computer and connection do not have to stay on.
