Streamlabs Mobile’s published instructions do not show how to select or loop a prerecorded playlist, or keep one playing unattended 24/7. Its documented workflow is for broadcasting a phone’s camera or screen to YouTube. If continuous prerecorded playback is the goal, look into a dedicated playout or encoder workflow and verify that it supports playlist looping and recovery before relying on it.
What Streamlabs Mobile can—and cannot—do in its documented workflow
Streamlabs’ YouTube walkthrough covers choosing YouTube and creating or selecting a live event. Its mobile guide covers broadcasting a camera or screen feed and configuring the stream. Neither guide documents importing a prerecorded playlist, looping it, or scheduling unattended playback. Streamlabs’ YouTube-from-phone guide and Streamlabs Mobile guide for iOS and Android therefore do not provide a documented playlist-planning workflow.
That is a limit of the published instructions, not proof that no device-specific screen-capture workaround exists. A phone might be able to capture a locally playing video in some circumstances, but the cited guides do not establish whether background playback, looping, audio routing, heat and power limits, or operating-system restrictions would allow it to run continuously. Treat that approach as unverified, not as a dependable 24/7 setup.
Choose the right YouTube workflow for the job
YouTube describes mobile streaming as “Good for vlogging and quick updates from your phone or tablet.” It describes encoders as a way to share a screen or broadcast gameplay and manage an advanced production. Those categories make an encoder or dedicated playout workflow a more relevant place to investigate for a prerecorded playlist, but they do not guarantee that any particular encoder supports playlist looping.

Before choosing a workflow, check that it can:
- Import or otherwise play the videos you want, then loop the playlist in the intended order.
- Reconnect or restart the broadcast if the connection or YouTube stream drops.
- Run for the intended duration without an unattended phone, computer, or other hardware failing or sleeping.
- Record locally if you need a backup, and explain what happens to recordings during long streams.
- Meet your upload-bandwidth needs and support a backup connection if one is part of your plan.
- Run on your operating system and device, with licensing and rights that cover the video, audio, and continuous public broadcast.
YouTube recommends leaving bandwidth headroom: a stream’s bitrate cannot exceed the upload bandwidth available to it, and network disruption can interrupt a broadcast. For a long-running setup, monitor the stream and audio/video rather than assuming that a successful start means it will remain healthy. YouTube’s live streaming tips cover network and encoder guidance.
Check channel eligibility before going live
YouTube’s current help guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so do this before the planned start rather than immediately before it. See YouTube’s guide to getting started with live streaming.

Plan for YouTube’s 12-hour archive limit
A 24/7 broadcast and a complete YouTube archive are separate goals. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not assume one uninterrupted day-long stream will produce a complete replay. If an archive matters, verify a recording method that meets your needs and test it before relying on it. YouTube explains the limit in its live-stream archive guidance.
If you meant a continuous live camera stream
A phone camera broadcast is a different use case from looping prerecorded video. Streamlabs Mobile’s documented camera workflow may suit a live phone shot, but leaving a phone live for long periods still depends on power, network stability, and ongoing supervision. The available guidance does not guarantee unattended uptime. An optional smartphone tripod mount can help position a phone for a camera stream; it does not add playlist playback or make a broadcast unattended.
