To keep nature videos repeating for your own viewing, create or open a YouTube playlist, start playback, and turn on the playlist’s Loop or Repeat control. That makes playback repeat for the viewer; it does not create a public YouTube Live broadcast. If you mean a broadcast other people can watch live, follow the separate live-stream setup below.
Loop a nature playlist for personal viewing
- Create or open a playlist. Open a nature video on YouTube, select Save, then Create new playlist. Name it and choose its privacy setting. A public playlist can be shared; a private playlist is viewable only by its owner. To add more videos or reorder them on a computer, use YouTube’s playlist controls. See YouTube’s playlist instructions for computers.
- Start playback from the playlist. Play one of its videos so the playlist controls are available.
- Turn on repeat for the whole playlist. The control’s location and label depend on the device. Follow the relevant instructions in YouTube’s guide to looping videos and playlists:
- Computer: Expand the playlist panel and select Loop.
- Android: While the playlist is playing, use Loop in the playlist control box. A second tap switches to repeating the current video instead.
- TV or gaming console: Select Repeat until the control indicates that the playlist, rather than just one video, will repeat.
Check the control state before leaving playback. Repeating one video keeps the same clip on; repeating the playlist returns to its first item after the last one. YouTube’s IFrame Player API documentation describes the same distinction for API-controlled playback.
Looping is not a guarantee of uninterrupted playback. Network interruptions, unavailable videos, device sleep settings, account or app behavior, and interface changes can affect a viewing session.
If you mean a public YouTube Live broadcast
A playlist organizes videos for playback; it does not transmit a live broadcast. For a public broadcast, YouTube’s encoder workflow uses the Live Control Room and a stream URL and key entered in the encoder. Follow YouTube’s instructions for creating a live stream with an encoder.

Check eligibility before setting up
YouTube’s current live-streaming eligibility guidance says a creator needs a verified channel, no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, and must be at least 16. Live content must also comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Eligibility rules can change, so consult YouTube’s page when you set up.
Use footage and audio you have rights to stream
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder; if the material remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. YouTube advises creators with a license to ask the rights owner to allowlist the channel through Content ID. A license alone may not prevent interruption. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance. Publicly viewable footage is not automatically cleared for rebroadcast.
