In OBS Studio, put the looping video in a Media Source and the logo in an Image Source in the same scene. Enable Loop on the video, then move the logo above it in the Sources list so it appears on top. Position and size the logo in the preview or with Edit Transform, and test the scene before streaming.
Set up a looping video with a logo in OBS
- Create or select a scene. The scene is the composition OBS sends to the stream. Add both the video and logo as sources in this scene. See the OBS Sources Guide.
- Add the video loop. In the Sources dock, select the add-source control, choose Media Source, and select the local video file. In the source properties, enable Loop so playback starts again when the file ends. OBS lists MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF, and WebM among supported media formats. See OBS Media Sources.
- Add the logo. Use the add-source control and choose Image Source, then select the logo image. A transparent PNG is useful when you want the artwork to sit over the video without an opaque rectangular background; the OBS guide documents image sources generally rather than prescribing a logo format.
- Put the logo in front. In the Sources list, drag the logo above the Media Source. Higher sources are displayed over lower sources. Check that the logo’s eye icon is enabled.
- Place and size it. Select the logo and drag its bounding box in the preview for quick placement. For exact settings, select Edit → Transform → Edit Transform (Ctrl-E on Windows or Cmd-E on macOS). Avoid stretching the logo in a way that changes its proportions. OBS also provides Fit to Screen, Stretch to Screen, and Center to Screen transforms; to crop by dragging a bounding-box handle, hold Alt on Windows/Linux or Option on macOS.
- Check the composition and test. Inspect the preview at the intended output size. Make a short test recording or test stream to catch layout, configuration, or performance problems before the broadcast. The OBS Quick Start Guide and OBS Studio Overview both recommend testing before going live.
Choose a single loop or a playlist
| What you want | OBS source | Setting and trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat one video file | Media Source | Enable Loop in its properties. This is the direct option for a single clip. |
| Play a sequence of video files | VLC Video Source | Install VLC to make this source type available; on 64-bit OBS, the OBS guide specifies 64-bit VLC. Loop Playlist is enabled by default so playback can restart after the playlist runs out. |
OBS documents the single-file and playlist options in its Media Sources guide. Do not assume the ordinary Media Source has playlist controls: use VLC Video Source when you want a playlist.
Configure the YouTube stream separately
The scene controls what viewers see; YouTube account eligibility and the stream connection are separate matters. Set the streaming service and stream key in OBS using its current workflow, and follow YouTube’s current Live setup guidance for account eligibility and platform requirements. The OBS procedure here does not establish whether a particular channel is eligible to go live or what YouTube’s current limits are.
Use video and audio you have the rights to stream. A logo overlay does not grant rights to the background video or music, and a technically correct loop does not ensure that content complies with YouTube’s copyright or monetization policies.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Fix common overlay and loop problems
- The logo is hidden behind the video: move its source above the Media Source in the Sources list and confirm the eye icon is enabled.
- The video stops at the end: open the Media Source properties and turn on Loop. For a playlist, check Loop Playlist on the VLC Video Source and make sure VLC is installed.
- The logo looks stretched or too large: adjust its transform or resize it using the preview bounding box while preserving its proportions. Use Edit Transform when you need precise placement.
- OBS performance suffers: keep the scene as simple as the production needs. OBS notes that sources and filters use resources; for a static logo, an Image Source is a simpler fit than a more complex browser overlay. See OBS Encoding Performance Troubleshooting.
- The scene works but the stream does not: verify the service and stream key in OBS, then test the stream configuration before the broadcast. Scene setup alone does not confirm YouTube account eligibility.
Or let it run in the cloud
OBS is the do-it-yourself choice when you want to build and operate the scene on your computer. If your goal is to keep uploaded video looping on a YouTube channel without leaving a computer running at home, StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera.
- Nothing needs to stay powered on at home; the stream runs from the cloud.
- Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as provided at one flat price per slot, with no quality tiers or re-encoding.
- Automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card required; it is one free day per account.
- Monthly: $9.99 per month.
Each slot includes 10 GB of storage, pooled across active slots, plus 24/7 looping, playlists, and StreamNeo team support. Billing is available by day, week, month, six months, or year, and can be cancelled any time. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Contact support for five or more slots. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only.
