To keep the same prerecorded videos playing in standard YouTube, turn on Repeat playlist. Autoplay is different: it selects a related video, rather than reliably restarting the playlist you chose. If you mean a continuous YouTube live stream made from uploaded videos, that is a separate setup; the playlist-repeat setting applies to ordinary YouTube playback.
Repeat the playlist in standard YouTube
YouTube Help says, “The playlist will repeat continuously.” Choose the playlist-repeat state, not the state that repeats only the current video.
On a TV or game console
- Open the playlist and start playing a video from it.
- Press down on the remote or controller to show the playback controls.
- Select Repeat. If the control cycles through repeat modes, select it until the indicator reads Repeat • Playlist.
The Repeat control may also be available in Settings while watching. Check that the indicator names the playlist; a current-video repeat setting will loop just one video.
On a phone or tablet
- Start the playlist in the YouTube app.
- Open the playlist control box below the video and select Loop.
- Stop after one tap if you want the whole playlist to repeat. Tapping the control a second time changes it to repeat the current video.
On a computer
YouTube Help describes playlist repeat in the expanded playlist box next to a playlist video. Open the playlist controls and look for the repeat control. Desktop controls can change, so verify that the selected state applies to the playlist rather than only the current video.

Repeat and Autoplay do different things

Autoplay settings can differ between devices. YouTube says Autoplay may stop automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity on a mobile network or after four hours on Wi-Fi. Those limits describe Autoplay, not playlist Repeat.
What to know about YouTube Kids
YouTube Kids’ documented Autoplay setting starts a related video based on the child’s viewing history; it is not the same as repeating a selected playlist. The available YouTube Kids guidance does not establish that playlist Repeat is supported across its apps, devices, or account configurations. If the child is watching in YouTube Kids, check the exact app and device rather than assuming the standard YouTube repeat control is available.

Parents can turn off YouTube Kids Autoplay in Family Center. For supervised YouTube accounts, a parent can choose Disable autoplay in Family Center settings, preventing the child from turning it back on. These settings control related-video Autoplay; they do not enable playlist looping.
If you cannot build the playlist
YouTube’s playlist guidance says a video or channel marked made for kids cannot be added to a playlist from a homepage, but the video can still be added from search results. If the add-to-playlist option is unavailable on the homepage, find the video in search and try adding it there. This restriction concerns playlist creation; it does not mean an existing playlist cannot repeat in standard YouTube.
