How to Stream a 24/7 Breathing Exercise Video Playlist on YouTube

To broadcast a breathing-exercise playlist as an actual 24/7 YouTube Live stream, send your prerecorded videos through an encoder connected to YouTube Live Control Room. If you only want to repeat a playlist for your own viewing, use YouTube’s Loop playlist control instead; that does not create a live broadcast.

Choose between a live broadcast and looping a playlist

These are different workflows with different audiences:

  • Broadcast a playlist: An encoder sends prerecorded video to your YouTube channel as a live stream, which viewers can watch on the stream’s watch page.
  • Repeat a playlist for yourself: Open the playlist in YouTube and select Loop. This repeats playback for the viewer; it does not start a channel broadcast. See YouTube’s playlist looping instructions.

The steps below are for creators who want a public or otherwise shared live broadcast of prerecorded breathing-exercise videos.

What you need before starting

  • A verified YouTube channel with live streaming enabled and no live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your intended launch. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance has the current requirements.
  • One or more video files you have the right to broadcast, plus an encoder. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders; a laptop and software may be enough, and expensive equipment is not necessary. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain the connection.
  • A dependable internet connection with sufficient upload capacity for your encoder’s stream. YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload-bandwidth headroom; network interruptions can still disrupt a stream. YouTube’s live streaming tips cover testing and network preparation.

Set up the YouTube Live stream

  1. Enable live streaming and verify eligibility. Do this ahead of time, especially if the channel has never streamed before. Wait for activation before relying on the channel for a scheduled broadcast.
  2. Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a live stream or schedule one for later. Choose whether it should be public, unlisted, or private, based on who should be able to watch. Review the stream settings, including whether viewers can use DVR to pause or rewind. The available settings are described in YouTube’s live stream settings help.
  3. Copy the stream URL and stream key. Enter both in your encoder’s YouTube connection settings. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not publish it, include it in a video, or share it unnecessarily.
  4. Prepare the playlist in your encoder. Add the breathing-exercise video or videos in the order you want them to play, and configure repeat or looping in the encoder if you need playback to continue after the final file. Encoder controls differ by product, so consult its documentation for the exact playlist and loop labels.
  5. Start the encoder and check the preview. Confirm that YouTube receives both picture and sound before you start or schedule the broadcast. Check the watch page from another device, including a phone, to confirm viewers can access it as intended.
  6. Monitor the broadcast. YouTube advises checking audio and video continuously. Keep an eye on Live Control Room and the encoder so you can respond if the connection drops, the feed freezes, or playback reaches the end of the playlist.

Plan for continuous playback, archives, and rights

Make the playlist genuinely repeat

A live broadcast does not automatically mean the source videos will repeat. Set the encoder’s playlist to loop, then verify that it returns to the first video after the final one. Test the transition before inviting viewers; a playlist that stops at the end will not maintain a 24/7 feed.

  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Do not rely on one complete 24-hour replay

YouTube’s guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. It does not establish that a 24-hour stream will be saved as one complete archive. If a replay matters, plan around that limitation rather than promising a complete 24-hour recording. See YouTube’s encoder and archiving guidance.

Check every video’s rights and policy status

Use only recordings you created or have permission to broadcast, and review the status of every item in the playlist. YouTube says playlist content can be subject to its rules when combined videos violate Community Guidelines; matching another copyrighted live broadcast can also restrict live-streaming ability. Review YouTube’s playlist policies and its live-stream restrictions guidance before putting a playlist on air.

Troubleshoot common problems

  • You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification, live-stream eligibility, and whether activation is complete. First-time enablement may take up to 24 hours.
  • YouTube shows no incoming feed: Check that the encoder has the correct stream URL and key, then confirm that it is sending. If needed, replace a potentially exposed key in YouTube’s stream settings and update the encoder with the new one.
  • The stream buffers, drops, or disconnects: Check upload capacity rather than download speed, preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom, and investigate network interruptions between the encoder and YouTube.
  • Viewers cannot watch it: Confirm the selected privacy setting and test the watch page from a viewer account or device. A private stream will not be publicly accessible.
  • The video or sound is missing or wrong: Check the encoder preview and its selected source and audio inputs before going live; keep monitoring after launch.
  • The stream ends after one pass: Enable playlist repeat or loop in the encoder and test the end-to-start transition.
  • A video is blocked or the channel faces a restriction: Review rights and YouTube policy status for each playlist item. Remove content you are not entitled to broadcast and consult YouTube’s applicable restriction notices.
