To broadcast those pre-recorded videos as a continuous public YouTube Live stream, create a stream in YouTube Studio and send it from an encoder. These are different outcomes: looping a playlist does not create a live broadcast.
Choose between listening continuously and broadcasting live

Loop the playlist for personal listening
YouTube’s built-in repeat feature is the simplest way to keep an ASMR roleplay playlist playing on your device.
On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist box beside the video.
- Click the playlist’s Loop control. Confirm that the control indicates repeat is enabled.
On a phone or tablet
- Start playing the playlist.
- Open the playlist controls and select Loop.
- Check whether the control is set to repeat the whole playlist. Tapping Loop again can change it to repeat only the current video.
On a TV or game console
- Select and play the playlist.
- Open the playback controls.
- Choose Repeat until the controls indicate that the playlist is repeating.
This only repeats playback for the person using YouTube. It does not rebroadcast the playlist, create a live chat or live page, or keep a public channel live.
Set up a continuous public YouTube Live broadcast
YouTube’s documented workflow uses an encoder—streaming software or a hardware encoder—to send the feed to YouTube. You can also use a cloud service as the encoder route. YouTube’s encoder guidance names Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 streams of pre-recorded videos; that mention is not an endorsement or confirmation of current availability, regional access, or terms.

Check channel eligibility before planning the stream
- Your channel must be verified.
- The channel must not have had live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days.
- For a first-time live stream, activation can take up to 24 hours. Enable and verify access before the time you want to go live.
Check YouTube’s current live streaming help and live streaming tips because eligibility and interface details can change.
Create the stream and connect an encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live and create a stream in the Live Control Room.
- In the encoder, select YouTube if it is offered as a destination. Otherwise, copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key from the Live Control Room into the corresponding encoder fields.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Start the encoder and wait for the feed preview to appear in the Live Control Room. Check that the intended video and audio are coming through before going live.
- Go live from the Live Control Room. When finished, stop the encoder’s feed and end the stream in the Live Control Room.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume an uninterrupted broadcast longer than that will be archived as one complete video. See YouTube’s encoder instructions for current setup guidance.

Prepare the ASMR playlist and feed
- Use recordings you have the right to transmit live, including every voice, music track, sound effect, image, and other visual in the files.
- Arrange the intended videos in the encoder or cloud service’s playlist, then verify the order and loop behavior before broadcasting.
- Check the preview for audible gaps, unintended silence, incorrect video, or a playback order you did not intend. The exact playlist controls and available feed settings depend on the encoder you choose; YouTube’s instructions cover connecting the feed, not a universal encoder configuration.
- Make the title and description accurately describe the ASMR roleplay stream and its content.

Protect the stream’s rights and monetization eligibility
Copyright applies to live feeds
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the channel; if the content remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. A license does not necessarily prevent that interruption: the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and obtain the necessary rights before broadcasting.
Copyright permission is not the same as monetization approval
YouTube’s channel monetization policies also apply to live streams. On July 15, 2025, YouTube clarified its policy by renaming “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content,” describing repetitive or mass-produced material as ineligible. Reused-content review is separate from copyright: permission to use someone else’s work alone does not establish monetization eligibility. Keep your original contribution and meaningful variation clear, and do not assume that owning or licensing the recordings guarantees monetization. See YouTube’s monetization policies.

Playlist policies still apply
YouTube’s playlist policy applies to collections as well as individual videos. Avoid misleading playlist titles or descriptions, and do not group material in a way that violates policy even if an individual video might not do so on its own.
