To keep prerecorded sound-healing videos playing continuously on YouTube, send an ongoing feed from an encoder or cloud streaming service. Scheduling a YouTube event alone does not make a video loop indefinitely: a scheduled event is a single broadcast with a start time, while a continuous stream needs an encoder or service to keep supplying the program. For a one-off scheduled broadcast, create the event in YouTube Studio, connect an encoder with the event’s server URL and stream key, check the preview, and start the event.
Choose between a scheduled event and a continuous feed
These workflows solve different problems. A scheduled event gives a broadcast its own event page, start time, shareable URL, and reminder option. A continuous feed is an ongoing encoder connection that plays prerecorded material; it does not become continuous just because an event was scheduled. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation distinguishes broadcasts from streams and describes both recurring events and a channel operating a 24/7 feed (YouTube Live Streaming API: Understanding broadcasts and streams).
| Approach | Best for | What to plan for |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled event with a local encoder | A broadcast with a defined start time, event page, and reminders | The computer and encoder must be running and sending the feed; an operator starts the event in Live Control Room. |
| Continuous cloud service | Prerecorded programming intended to remain live without a dedicated streaming computer | Check the provider’s current features, terms, and fees. A continuous feed is not a series of separately scheduled event pages. |
| YouTube Live Streaming API | Developer-managed recurring events or a channel combining a continuous feed with separate broadcasts | Requires an API and encoder implementation; it is not a simple YouTube Studio setting. |
YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos. That listing establishes its relevance to this use case, not its current price, reliability, or YouTube endorsement. Review the service’s terms and current capabilities before choosing it (YouTube’s encoder instructions and directory).
Check channel eligibility before planning the broadcast
YouTube’s current live-stream guidance says a channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and be operated by someone at least 16 years old. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the intended broadcast rather than waiting until airtime. Platform rules can change; confirm the current requirements in YouTube Help (Get started with live streaming; Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder).

Prepare the prerecorded program and clear its rights
Use material you are entitled to broadcast
Prepare the audio and video files you own or are licensed to use for the live broadcast and any replay. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the creator to have worldwide rights for the live content, including music licensing rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, and other rights participants (Livestream terms and conditions).
Do not promise therapeutic results
You can describe the program as sound healing based on its genre, practice, or your intent. Do not claim that the stream heals, treats, cures, or improves a diagnosed condition. The available platform guidance establishes streaming mechanics and rights obligations, not medical efficacy.

Make the creative contribution clear if monetization matters
YouTube’s monetization policy says content should be original and authentic, and its July 15, 2025 clarification places mass-produced or repetitive material under its inauthentic-content policy. Reviewers may consider the channel’s theme, newest and most-viewed videos, watch-time concentration, metadata, and About section. Repeating the same loop may create monetization risk even if you have permission to use it: copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate questions (YouTube channel monetization policies). Monetization is not guaranteed.
Decide whether you need live audio capture
If the entire program is prerecorded, you do not need audio-capture hardware just to send it to YouTube. If you are recording original instruments or voice live, YouTube lists microphones among typical encoder hardware; an external microphone is an optional consideration, not a requirement for prerecorded playback. No particular model is established as tested or recommended.

Schedule and start one prerecorded live event with an encoder
- Create the event: In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live, open the Manage tab, then choose Schedule stream. Create a new event or reuse settings. Scheduling lets you share an event URL and gives viewers the option to set a reminder.
- Connect the encoder: At broadcast time, select the scheduled event in your encoder or configure the encoder with the event’s YouTube server URL and stream key. Treat the stream key as a password: keep it private and do not put it in a public post, screenshot, or shared document.
- Start the feed and check preview: Start the encoder and wait for its feed to appear in YouTube Live Control Room. Check that the picture and sound are the intended program.
- Start the broadcast: Once the preview is present, click Go live in Live Control Room. The encoder feed and the scheduled event are separate steps; sending the feed does not itself replace the event-start action.
- End cleanly: End the stream in YouTube, then stop the encoder feed.
For YouTube’s current encoder workflow, consult Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder. The official guidance does not establish a universal bitrate, resolution, keyframe interval, or bandwidth setting for every encoder and source file, so use the encoder’s current YouTube-compatible settings rather than treating a guessed preset as a platform requirement.
Keep prerecorded videos live continuously
For uninterrupted playback, configure an encoder or cloud service to keep sending the prerecorded program. Use separately scheduled events when individual shows need their own event page and start time. YouTube’s official encoder page lists Gyre for cloud-based 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos; confirm current service details directly before relying on it. The API documentation also describes a channel with a 24/7 feed alongside a distinct interview broadcast, illustrating that a continuous stream and separate events can coexist.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not promise automatic archiving for a stream lasting longer than 12 hours. If viewers need a replay, plan shorter broadcast blocks, end and restart deliberately, and check that each archive is available instead of assuming one uninterrupted 24/7 stream will produce a complete replay (YouTube’s encoder instructions).

Troubleshoot the common failure points
- Live streaming is not available yet: Check channel verification and restrictions, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement.
- The event is scheduled but viewers see no program: Scheduling does not send video. Start the encoder, confirm the feed appears in Live Control Room, then click Go live for the event.
- The encoder cannot connect: Recheck that you copied the server URL and stream key for the intended event, that the encoder is running, and that the key has not been exposed or replaced.
- The stream is live but the wrong content plays: Check the selected event and the encoder’s chosen file or playlist before starting the broadcast.
- A long stream has no complete archive: YouTube’s automatic-archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours, not longer broadcasts. Use shorter sessions if a full replay matters.
- A monetization review raises concerns: Review the channel for repetitive or mass-produced programming and make the original contribution and channel identity clear. Permission to use audio does not guarantee monetization eligibility.
