To stream recorded yoga videos as a playlist on YouTube Live in India, create or schedule a live stream in YouTube Studio, connect an encoder with your YouTube stream key, and use the encoder’s playout feature to send the recordings in order. YouTube supplies the live-stream connection; playlist order, looping and transitions are handled by the encoder or playout application, so test those behaviors before the broadcast. The workflow described here is YouTube’s general process; the cited guidance does not establish a separate India-specific setup.
Before you start: check channel eligibility and prepare your files
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube’s general help guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 for live streamers.
- Prepare the yoga recordings in the sequence you want viewers to see them. Decide whether the playlist should repeat or stop after the final video.
- Choose an encoder or playout application that can play your files in order and handle the repeat or stop behavior you need. YouTube’s encoder guidance explains how to send a live feed, but it does not establish that YouTube automatically turns an ordinary video playlist into a continuous live broadcast.
- Check that your internet connection can sustain the encoder’s total upload bitrate. YouTube recommends 20% upload-bandwidth headroom.
YouTube says expensive equipment is not necessary to get started. For prerecorded videos, the key decision is finding a playback workflow that can reliably feed the encoder—not buying a camera or yoga equipment.
Set up the YouTube Live stream and connect an encoder
- Enable live streaming and confirm eligibility. Verify the channel and check that it meets the live-streaming requirements before planning the broadcast.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream, set its title and visibility, select the audience setting, and configure the other event options. Manage the event in Live Control Room.
- Get the stream connection details. In the live-stream setup, use the stream URL and stream key provided for the encoder. The stream key is the credential the encoder uses to send video to your YouTube stream. Keep it private; do not show it in a screen recording or public tutorial.
- Set YouTube as the encoder destination. Select YouTube if the application offers it as a destination, or enter the stream URL and key as requested by that application. Exact field names and clicks vary by software, so use its current instructions rather than assuming one encoder’s interface applies to another.
- Load the recordings into the encoder’s playout workflow. Select the yoga files and arrange them in the intended order. Configure the application to repeat the playlist or stop at the end, as appropriate. Check transitions and audio/video synchronization; these controls are encoder-specific, not YouTube playlist settings.
Test the playlist, rights and viewer experience
Run a controlled rehearsal
Before announcing the stream, test the full path using a private, unlisted or otherwise controlled run. Confirm that the right file starts first, subsequent recordings play in order, the ending or repeat behavior is correct, and audio remains synchronized. Inspect the Live Control Room preview and check the watch page from another device, including a mobile device. YouTube advises setting up an encoder at least 2 hours in advance and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event.
Confirm you have the necessary rights
You are responsible for having the rights needed for the video and soundtrack, including any music. A license alone may not prevent a live interruption: if a rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID, matching can still interrupt the broadcast. Resolve permissions and any required Content ID allowlisting with the relevant rights holder before going live. YouTube’s terms also place responsibility on the provider to meet applicable laws and obtain required licenses or approvals.

Choose DVR and archive behavior
Decide whether viewers should be able to pause and resume the live stream using DVR, and whether the live archive should remain available afterward. YouTube notes that DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours, so do not rely on viewers being able to rewind the full broadcast if it runs that long.
Choose an encoder by the job it must do

Troubleshooting common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The event is not receiving video | The encoder may be using the wrong destination, stream URL or key, or the event may not be ready. | Recheck the connection details in YouTube Studio and the encoder, then inspect Live Control Room. Keep the key private when troubleshooting or sharing screenshots. |
| The stream starts, but the wrong video plays or the playlist stops | The order, source selection, or end-of-playlist behavior is controlled by the playout application. | Rehearse the full sequence and verify its repeat or stop setting in that application’s current documentation. |
| Playback stutters or drops | The upload connection may not have enough sustained capacity for the configured bitrate. | Check actual upload capacity and leave the 20% headroom recommended by YouTube; test again before the scheduled start. |
| Sound and picture drift apart, or transitions are abrupt | The chosen files or playout workflow may not handle synchronization or transitions as expected. | Test the exact recordings and transitions in a controlled run; confirm sync throughout, not just at the opening. |
| YouTube interrupts the broadcast over a rights match | The video or soundtrack may match protected material, or the rights holder may not have allowlisted the channel in Content ID. | Resolve the rights and allowlisting issue with the rights holder before restarting the live broadcast. |
