You can run a 24/7 Tamil songs stream from a spare laptop by looping music you have livestream rights to in OBS Studio and sending the broadcast to YouTube Live. Before you leave it running, verify the channel is eligible, test the actual laptop and upload connection, protect your stream key, and arrange local recording and a recovery plan. A spare laptop can reduce reliance on your main computer, but it cannot guarantee uninterrupted streaming.
Before you start: clear YouTube eligibility and music rights
Enable livestreaming ahead of time
Check eligibility in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room before announcing a launch. YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube for Artists advises enabling the feature at least 24 hours before a first planned stream. These requirements and settings can change, so confirm them in your channel before scheduling.

Get permission for every song and visual
Do not assume that buying a song, subscribing to a music service, or crediting an artist gives you the right to broadcast the recording. Obtain permission for the specific livestream use and relevant territory from the rights holder. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches and may interrupt or terminate a stream if it detects unresolved matched content. YouTube also warns that even licensed music may trigger a disruption unless the rights owner adds your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Set up a looping Tamil songs stream in OBS
Prepare a scene and loop the content

Install and open OBS Studio on the spare laptop. Create a scene for the broadcast.

Add an authorized local audio or video file as a Media Source. In that source’s properties, enable Loop so playback repeats when it reaches the end.

For a collection of files, add a VLC Video Source and build its playlist. Set Loop Playlist if it should repeat in order; use Shuffle Playlist only if you want playback order randomized. OBS notes that VLC must be installed for this source to be available.

Play through the end of a track and into the next loop or playlist item. Check that the image does not go blank unexpectedly and that audio is audible and at a consistent level.

Looping is a playback setting, not a rights clearance or reliability feature. Test the chosen source on the actual laptop: the computer’s processor, cooling, operating system, and media files all affect whether it can decode and send the stream for long periods. No particular laptop specification or sustained runtime can be guaranteed without testing that machine.
Create the YouTube broadcast and connect OBS

In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule an encoder broadcast. Use a scheduled broadcast if you want a planned event rather than immediately starting a new one.

In OBS, open the stream settings and select YouTube as the service if available. Otherwise, copy the server URL and stream key shown in YouTube’s encoder setup into OBS.

Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.

Start streaming from OBS. Confirm that the preview and connection appear in Live Control Room, then use YouTube’s Go Live control if the selected workflow requires it. OBS’s YouTube integration can create and manage broadcasts; scheduled-broadcast controls such as auto-start and auto-stop affect when an event starts and ends.
Exact labels and workflows can vary with OBS releases and YouTube Studio changes. YouTube’s encoder setup information is in its live encoder settings guidance; OBS documents its YouTube integration and broadcast controls at OBS: Streaming to YouTube.
Choose settings the laptop and connection can sustain
YouTube’s encoder guidance supports RTMP or RTMPS, H.264, H.265, or AV1 video, up to 60 fps, constant bitrate (CBR), and AAC or MP3 audio. YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted transport and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Its H.264 bitrate guidance includes 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps and 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. Those figures are platform recommendations, not proof that a particular laptop or internet plan can sustain them.

Run an upload-speed test and choose a stream bitrate that leaves headroom for connection variation and other household traffic.

For an audio-led stream with a still or minimally moving visual, start with a modest resolution and frame rate the computer and connection can handle. There is no universal minimum setting for an unspecified laptop.

Use CBR and a two-second keyframe interval; choose an audio format and bitrate compatible with YouTube’s current encoder guidance.

Run a private or unlisted preflight using the same sort of audio and movement you plan to broadcast. Check the Live Control Room preview, stream-health messages, audio, and transitions before making the stream public.
Consult YouTube’s current recommended encoder settings for its full resolution and frame-rate bitrate ranges. Settings can change, and the figures above do not certify the capability of your device or connection.

A single-laptop stream depends on the laptop, power supply, internet connection, OBS process, YouTube channel access, and continued rights clearance. Any of these can interrupt it. Before leaving the setup unattended, run a representative test and check each of the following:

OBS is recording locally if you need a dependable copy, and the recording file is growing.

You know how to inspect OBS and Live Control Room and reconnect after a drop.
If Wi-Fi is unstable and the laptop has an Ethernet port, test a wired connection. If it does not, a compatible USB-to-Ethernet adapter may be an option; check the laptop’s connector compatibility first. A wired connection can help isolate Wi-Fi problems, but it cannot guarantee a fix for an issue elsewhere in the connection.
YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend monitoring audio and video and checking local archive files. OBS forum guidance describes using a scheduled stream with auto-stop disabled to avoid ending the broadcast on a disconnect, but that behavior is version-sensitive and is not a guarantee of seamless recovery. If the stream drops, inspect the encoder and Live Control Room, resolve the cause, and reconnect using the existing scheduled broadcast where its settings allow it. Understand YouTube’s 12-hour archive and rewind limits
A continuous 24-hour broadcast should not be treated as a guaranteed YouTube replay. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube’s DVR guidance separately warns that rewind may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. Archiving is about whether a replay is saved after the broadcast; DVR is about viewers rewinding during a live stream.
If reliable replays matter, keep a local recording and confirm the file is growing while the stream runs. You can also consider an operational plan involving shorter broadcasts, but the behavior of ending and restarting streams has not been established here; verify how the chosen workflow affects viewers and archives before relying on it.
