If your channel is based in a supported location, you can create a fundraiser in YouTube Studio and attach a scheduled livestream—but YouTube’s instructions do not confirm how this works with one uninterrupted 24/7 stream.
Can an India-based channel use YouTube Giving?
Based on YouTube’s published creator-location list, an India-based channel cannot set up a YouTube Giving fundraiser through the documented flow. YouTube also generally requires an eligible channel to have at least 10,000 subscribers, be in the YouTube Partner Program, and not be designated Made for Kids. Meeting those channel requirements does not override the location restriction. YouTube’s fundraiser setup instructions and YouTube’s Giving FAQ describe the location and eligibility rules.
Google for Nonprofits suggests that creators who are not eligible consider third-party fundraising sites. That is a separate arrangement, not YouTube Giving integration. Before choosing one, verify that it accepts an India-based organizer and the intended charity, supports the payment methods and donor countries you need, and explains fees, disbursement timing, and how to display or link donations during a continuous livestream. Google for Nonprofits’ alternatives guidance does not establish the availability or suitability of any particular service for your setup.
What YouTube’s scheduled-livestream fundraiser flow supports
The published instructions describe adding a scheduled livestream to a fundraiser. They do not specify a special 24/7 configuration or confirm that a single uninterrupted stream can be attached. If you manage a channel in a supported location, check that the exact stream is selectable in Studio before announcing the fundraiser; do not assume that a continuous stream will work unless the interface confirms it.

The fundraiser is also limited by the recipient rules: the documented program supports eligible US public charities with 501(c)(3) status and the required registrations or opt-ins. A charity outside the United States is not directly eligible through this documented flow. If the organization you want to support is not listed, YouTube provides a nonprofit request process; a request can take up to five business days, according to its help documentation.
How to create a fundraiser and attach a scheduled livestream

Sign in to YouTube Studio using the eligible channel.

Open Earn > Giving, then choose Get started > Create a fundraiser. You can also look for fundraiser setup in Live Control Room under Advanced Settings.

Choose an available eligible US 501(c)(3) public charity. If it is missing, use the nonprofit request flow and allow up to five business days for a response.

Enter the fundraiser details, including its title and description. Add a goal and duration if useful for your campaign.

Add the scheduled livestream that should display the fundraiser. For a 24/7 stream, verify that the specific stream appears and can be selected; YouTube’s published setup guidance does not explain whether one continuous stream is supported.

Select Publish. The donate button appears after the fundraiser’s start date, not immediately just because the fundraiser was published.
Donation display and livestream trade-offs

Donations can appear on the video watch page or in live chat. Donations in live chat require live chat to be enabled. On mobile, viewers may need to hold the device in portrait orientation to see chat.

For livestreams with Live Chat Donations, YouTube disables Super Chat and Super Stickers to avoid confusion. Ads are not affected. Super Thanks is unavailable on videos with Donations.

YouTube says 100% of contributions go to the nonprofit and that YouTube pays transaction fees. Its help material identifies Network for Good as the collection and disbursement partner. These are YouTube’s published program terms, not a guarantee about a particular stream’s fundraising results.
