CD PROJEKT RED says its technical support team has received more requests than usual since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered launched on 29 September 2026, and that replies may take longer. The notice, reproduced by iXBT Games on 3 October, does not give a ticket count or establish how many players are affected. Reports describe different issues across platforms, so check the current status for your version rather than assuming there is one widespread fault or a universal fix.
What CDPR’s support notice says
In a notice quoted by iXBT Games on 3 October 2026, CD PROJEKT RED technical support said: “Since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, our technical support service has been receiving more requests than usual, so a response may take a little longer. Please note: even if you have not yet received a response, the problem you reported is most likely already known – it is being analyzed and taken into account when preparing patches. Thank you for your patience!”
This is a qualitative warning about increased requests and potentially slower replies—not a published measure of the queue, a confirmed service outage, or proof that every reported problem is already fixed or will be addressed in a particular patch. iXBT reproduces the notice; the underlying social post was not independently retrieved. Which release and platforms are involved?
This story concerns the 2026 Remastered release, not the 2022 next-gen Complete Edition. CD PROJEKT RED dated Remastered’s launch to 29 September 2026 and described it as a free upgrade for eligible owners on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and for Nintendo Switch 2 players who own the original Switch version. The publisher separately lists Battle.net and Microsoft Store as purchase options. Check the store and platform terms for your copy; eligibility differs by platform. CD PROJEKT RED’s launch announcement also describes publisher-stated changes including visuals and performance, combat and progression systems, animations, cross-platform mod support, refreshed UI, and platform-specific features. Those are release descriptions, not an independent assessment of how each feature performs.

The earlier Complete Edition arrived on 14 December 2022 as a free upgrade for eligible owners, with a later physical release announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X. A CDPR PC hotfix notice from 19 December 2022 addressed stability, performance, and GOG and Steam overlay issues for that release. What problems are players reporting?
Coverage dated 1 October 2026 describes reports involving save issues, lighting, PC performance, and DLSS being absent in the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version, alongside fixes or hotfixes. These are secondary, time-sensitive reports, not evidence that every platform has each problem or that all players encounter them. Issue status can change with patches, and the support notice does not quantify the number of affected users or provide a platform-by-platform issue rate. Consult current official listings for your platform and version before treating an older report as current.

How to report an issue and check its status
- Record the exact setup: note your platform and storefront, game version or patch, the symptom, and—on PC—your hardware, resolution, and graphics settings. For a save problem, describe when it occurs and whether it affects a particular save; for a graphics or performance problem, include the relevant settings.
- Check the official support page: open CD PROJEKT RED’s Witcher 3 PC support portal and choose the category that matches your issue—technical, gameplay, or content. Use the support entry for your actual platform rather than assuming PC guidance applies to console or Switch 2.
- Review current notices before changing your setup: the PC portal lists the Remastered FAQ, Patch 5.0, updated PC requirements, and NVIDIA Hairworks performance issues among its hot topics. Compare the notice and patch information with your installed version and symptom.
- Submit a focused report if the issue remains: include the details from step one and what happens, as precisely as possible. The support notice says replies may take longer than usual; it does not provide a guaranteed response time.
PC performance and compatibility: what requirements can—and cannot—tell you
CDPR’s updated PC requirements article says performance depends on system configuration, graphics settings, and resolution, and that an SSD is required for the newest enhancements. It also says Windows 10 will no longer be officially supported or tested going forward, while clarifying that this does not necessarily mean the game will stop running on Windows 10 with the next update. Read the updated PC requirements for the configuration relevant to your goal.
Requirements help set expectations about a PC setup; they do not demonstrate that buying an SSD or graphics hardware will fix a game bug. The available reporting does not provide a controlled comparison of troubleshooting steps or prove a universal remedy. Match advice to the specific platform, patch, and symptom.
