A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11To show a still temple image during a 24/7 bhajan stream, add it as an image source in an OBS scene, route your bhajan audio into OBS, and send the scene to YouTube Live. The image is only the visual layer: the encoder, audio playback, computer, and internet connection still need to run continuously unless you use a cloud service.
What you need before you start
- OBS Studio installed on a computer, plus a reliable internet connection with enough upload capacity for your chosen stream settings.
- A landscape temple image you have permission to broadcast. The official OBS and YouTube guidance cited here does not prescribe a special image size or format for this use.
- Bhajan audio you have permission to stream, available as a file or from an audio playback device that OBS can capture.
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. YouTube says first-time live-streaming enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this until just before launch.
OBS is a free encoder option. YouTube’s encoder guide explains how to create a stream, connect an encoder, and use cloud services for continuous prerecorded-video playout: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Add the temple image and bhajan audio in OBS
- Create a scene. In OBS, create a scene for the bhajan stream. If the image-source menu labels differ in your installed OBS version, consult the current OBS interface and its Media Sources guide.
- Add the still image. Add an Image source and select your temple picture. Fit it to the stream canvas so it fills the frame without stretching or leaving unintended borders. Keep important details and lettering away from the edges, where layouts or overlays can obscure them.
- Add the audio. Add the bhajan recording as a media source, or route the device playing the bhajan into OBS. Check the OBS audio mixer while audio plays: its meter should respond. Listen to the output so you can catch muted, distorted, or unexpectedly quiet audio before broadcasting.
- Check the scene composition. Confirm the image is visible, the intended audio source is active, and no other source covers the image. If you use multiple recordings or scene changes, test those transitions too.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- Enable live streaming if needed. If this is your channel’s first stream, enable the feature in YouTube Studio and allow for YouTube’s stated first-time setup delay of up to 24 hours.
- Create a stream in YouTube Studio. Open the Live Control Room and create the stream. Copy the server details and stream key provided for the encoder.
- Enter the connection details in OBS. In OBS’s stream settings, choose the YouTube service and enter the supplied server information and stream key, following the labels in your installed OBS version.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password. Do not publish it, include it in a screenshot, or share it with anyone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Start streaming from OBS, then confirm YouTube receives the image and audio in the Live Control Room before you make the broadcast public or announce it.
Choose settings and test before going public
YouTube recommends RTMPS and publishes encoder settings by resolution and frame rate. Its general H.264 recommendations include 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps; these are platform recommendations, not guaranteed minimums for every network or special settings for a static picture. Check YouTube’s current live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions and select settings your sustained upload connection can support.
- Run a private or unlisted rehearsal using the actual image, audio, and any scene changes planned for the broadcast.
- Test upload capacity and watch YouTube’s stream-health indicators. A still image uses little visual change, but the audio and connection still need to work reliably.
- Check that audio is audible and consistent, the image is framed correctly, and YouTube’s incoming preview looks as expected.
- Monitor stream health during the broadcast, and decide who will respond if the connection drops or the audio stops.
YouTube’s guidance is direct: “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” See YouTube’s encoder settings guidance.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Plan how the stream will stay up for 24 hours
With a local OBS setup, the computer, OBS, audio playback, and internet connection must remain available. You are responsible for monitoring the stream and restarting or repairing it if something fails. YouTube’s encoder directory also lists cloud-based continuous streaming of prerecorded video and hardware with scheduled media playout; those are alternatives to leaving a dedicated PC running, not requirements for adding an image. The directory does not establish comparative reliability or cost.
Do not assume one YouTube archive will contain an entire day: YouTube says encoder streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Check its current stream-management guidance and plan how you will handle a 24/7 schedule and its recordings.

Check rights for both the picture and the music
Make sure you have the rights or permission to broadcast the temple image and every bhajan recording or performance. Devotional use does not itself grant permission to stream copyrighted music or artwork.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. It may replace the broadcast with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. A license may not prevent interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams before going live.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The image has borders, is stretched, or is cropped badly | The image does not fit the OBS canvas, or its source transform is unsuitable. | Adjust the image source to fit the canvas without distorting it; inspect the preview and keep important content away from the edges. |
| YouTube preview has no sound | The audio source is not routed to OBS, is muted, or the selected playback device is wrong. | Play the bhajan, check the OBS mixer meter and mute state, and listen to the rehearsal output. |
| YouTube does not receive the OBS stream | The stream key or server details may be incorrect, live streaming may not yet be enabled, or the connection may be failing. | Compare OBS’s connection details with the current stream in YouTube Studio; confirm channel eligibility and wait for first-time enablement if applicable. |
| The stream health is unstable | The connection may not sustain the selected bitrate, or the local computer or network may be interrupted. | Test upload capacity, lower the selected resolution or bitrate to a sustainable setting, and monitor YouTube’s stream-health indicators. |
| The broadcast is interrupted after a music match | YouTube may have detected third-party content, or the rights holder may not have allowlisted the channel. | Review YouTube’s copyright notice, confirm the rights and permissions, and resolve any Content ID allowlisting issue with the rights holder. |
