To make a 24/7 devotional stream with aarti timings visible, build a YouTube Live program from authorized video and audio, then place the temple’s current schedule in an on-screen text overlay. In OBS, the simplest editable option is a text source linked to a UTF-8 file: update and save the file when the schedule changes. Use the temple or ritual organizer’s timings and label their local time zone; there is no universal aarti timetable.
Choose the stream format and confirm your material
Decide whether you are broadcasting a live camera, a prepared devotional program, or prerecorded video on a loop. These are different production workflows. For any format, gather footage, images, music, chants, and temple recordings only when you have the necessary rights or permission. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance describes using an encoder to manage an advanced production with external audio or video sources.
Ask the specific temple or ritual organizer for its current schedule. Note the temple name, location, time zone, event name, and the date you checked it. Confirm changes for festivals and special events before they happen, and make the time zone clear to viewers.
Temple-published schedules are examples for those locations only. For instance, the Hindu Temple Society of North America lists a daily 7:30 p.m. Sarva Devata Harati and notes that its streaming schedule may change, including on festival dates. That is not a general aarti time. Shri Kesariyaji Temple also publishes its own sequence of daily ritual timings; use the temple’s current official information rather than transferring those times to another stream.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Put the aarti schedule on screen in OBS
- Create the program scene. In OBS, add the devotional video and audio sources you intend to broadcast. Keep the schedule text in a separate, legible area that does not obscure important content.
- Add an editable text source. Add a text source and enable the option to read from a file. Point it to a UTF-8 text file containing the schedule. OBS’s text source reference documents file-based text and reloading when the file is saved.
- Write concise, specific labels. For example: “Next: Evening Aarti — 7:30 p.m. local time.” This is only a format example; substitute the selected temple’s verified current schedule.
- Update and verify changes. When a person changes the schedule file, check the OBS preview to confirm the new event and time appear correctly. Assign someone to make and verify updates, especially around festivals.
If you want the schedule to update automatically, use a data source only after testing the event text, time zone, daylight-saving behavior, and fallback display. OBS’s documented file-based text approach is a practical manual option; no particular automatic calendar integration is established here.
Choose a software or hardware encoder
YouTube supports both software encoders and standalone hardware encoders. You do not need to buy a dedicated appliance just to begin: YouTube says expensive equipment is not required for someone starting out. A software setup is a reasonable way to test a modest production; hardware is optional for teams with a more specialized broadcast workflow. With hardware, confirm the device supports the overlay workflow you need before buying it.

Create the YouTube Live event and connect the encoder
- Check channel eligibility. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the broadcast is due.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Follow the event settings shown there.
- Connect the encoder. Copy the stream URL and stream key supplied in the Live Control Room into the corresponding encoder fields. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not show it in the video, share it publicly, or leave it visible in a screen recording.
- Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Wait until YouTube shows the incoming preview. Check that the correct video and audio are present and that the aarti overlay is readable before you start the public broadcast.
Requirements and timing above are stated in YouTube’s encoder help; check the current Live Control Room prompts for your channel.

Test the stream before leaving it unattended
- Set up the encoder event in advance and start the encoder before the scheduled broadcast.
- Verify the preview, the video loop, audio levels, and schedule overlay together.
- Check that the event can be opened from your channel and watch page, including on a mobile device.
- Test how the program behaves when the video or audio source ends, when the schedule text changes, and after an encoder interruption.
- Monitor audio and video quality during a test broadcast before relying on continuous operation.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a broadcast lasting longer than that will produce one complete automatic archive; if a complete recording matters, plan and verify archive handling separately. See YouTube’s encoder help for the archive condition.
Protect the stream from copyright interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. It may show a placeholder and warn the channel; continued use can interrupt or terminate the broadcast. Even if you have a license, a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the licensed material to remain uninterrupted. Secure and document permissions for recordings, compositions, footage, and images, and ask the rights owner about allowlisting where applicable. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams before broadcasting.

Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a prerecorded devotional video loop on YouTube, StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud after you upload the video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home. It streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos; it is not a live-camera service, and the aarti overlay and schedule need to be built into your video before upload.
The first day is free with no card. After that, the monthly option is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for details, then start the free day.
