To stream a Telugu video playlist continuously on YouTube Live, use an encoder to play the playlist on repeat and send its output to a YouTube broadcast. YouTube receives the live signal; the encoder controls which video plays next. Set up the source loop in your chosen encoder, select a compatible YouTube ingestion protocol, then verify playback and audio in Live Control Room before making the broadcast public.
Before you start
- Your YouTube channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Check YouTube’s live streaming tips for current eligibility guidance.
- Use an encoder that can play your Telugu videos or playlist continuously and send a live stream to YouTube. YouTube lists OBS as an encoder that supports HLS output, but the exact playlist-repeat controls depend on the encoder and its version.
- Confirm that you have permission to rebroadcast every video, including its music, images, performances, and other included material. Channel eligibility and successful technical setup do not grant content rights.
- Make sure your upload connection can sustain the encoder’s chosen output. YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate and the full setup before going live.
Set up a continuous Telugu playlist stream
- Check channel eligibility. Verify your channel and confirm it has no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, as described in YouTube’s live streaming guidance.
- Prepare the broadcast in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream, and choose the ingestion protocol you plan to use. YouTube recommends RTMPS for most ordinary live content. Choose HLS only if your encoder is configured to output HLS.
- Load the Telugu playlist in your encoder. Add the video files or playlist as the encoder’s playback source. Find that encoder’s current instructions for repeat or loop playback; YouTube’s setup pages do not specify the controls for individual encoders. Confirm in the encoder preview that playback advances through the items and returns to the beginning without stopping.
- Copy the correct stream details. Use the stream key and server or stream URL supplied for the broadcast in Live Control Room. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not control your stream. If you change the protocol, confirm that the encoder uses the matching YouTube connection details.
- Configure the encoder for the selected protocol. For RTMPS, follow YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrate, and resolution guidance for your target resolution and available upload capacity. Set video and audio encoding, frame rate, keyframe frequency, and bitrate to match those recommendations; do not copy a fixed bitrate without checking the target output. Test the upload bitrate before the broadcast.
- Run a test and inspect YouTube’s preview. Start the encoder and wait for the broadcast to appear in Live Control Room. Confirm that video and audio are present and that the source playlist loops as intended. Use a private or unlisted test if appropriate for your channel and broadcast plans.
- Start the intended broadcast and monitor it. Once the preview is correct, start the public broadcast when ready. Keep checking audio and video quality, playlist progress, and the transition at the loop boundary so a paused source or missing audio does not go unnoticed.
Choose RTMPS or HLS
The protocol is how the encoder delivers the live signal to YouTube. It is separate from the Telugu playlist that the encoder plays.
| Protocol | When to choose it | What to configure or expect |
|---|---|---|
| RTMPS | YouTube recommends RTMPS, the encrypted form of RTMP, for most ordinary live content. | Use an encoder that supports RTMPS and follow YouTube’s current settings for your target resolution, frame rate, codecs, keyframe frequency, and bitrate. Test your upload bitrate before going live. YouTube encoder settings |
| HLS | Choose it when you need HLS output and have an HLS-compatible encoder configured for YouTube. | Select HLS in Live Control Room and copy the HTTPS stream URL into the encoder. YouTube’s guidance specifies Transport Stream segments, HTTPS POST/PUT, segment durations of 1–4 seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than 5 outstanding segments. HLS has higher latency because it sends video in segments rather than as a continuous stream like RTMP. YouTube HLS setup |
HLS media playlists describe the segments used to deliver the live signal; they do not control your Telugu source-video playlist or make it repeat. The repeat setting belongs in the encoder or playback source. See Google’s HLS ingestion guide for the protocol’s segment-based delivery model.
Keep the loop and broadcast healthy
- Check that the encoder remains connected and that the source continues beyond the first pass through the playlist.
- Listen at the start and across a loop boundary. Confirm that sound is neither missing nor unintentionally interrupted when one video ends and the next begins.
- Watch Live Control Room’s preview before starting and monitor the stream while it runs. YouTube’s live streaming tips also recommend preparing the encoder ahead of time, checking the preview, and continuously monitoring audio and video.
- If you record locally as well, check the resulting archive; a live preview alone does not confirm that a separate local recording was saved correctly.
Troubleshooting
The stream does not appear in Live Control Room
Confirm that the encoder is using the stream key and server or URL for the selected broadcast and protocol. Check the encoder’s connection status and upload capacity, then compare its output settings with YouTube’s current encoder guidance.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The video plays once and stops
The source is not repeating. Check the encoder’s current documentation for its loop or repeat control, enable it for the playlist or media source, and verify a complete return to the first item in the encoder preview before relying on the live output.
The source loops, but the live video or audio breaks at the boundary
Watch and listen to the transition in the encoder preview, then compare it with YouTube’s preview. The encoder controls source playback, so inspect its playlist transition and audio configuration. If the output drops or becomes unstable, test the connection and adjust the encoder settings using YouTube’s recommendations for the target resolution.

HLS output is rejected or does not connect
Confirm that HLS is selected in Live Control Room and that the encoder supports HLS output. Check that you entered the HTTPS stream URL and that the encoder meets YouTube’s HLS requirements for Transport Stream segments, HTTPS POST/PUT, segment duration, and rolling playlist size. Consult YouTube’s HLS setup instructions.
The broadcast has more delay than expected
HLS has higher latency than RTMP-style continuous delivery because it sends video in segments. If lower latency matters and your encoder supports it, consider YouTube’s recommended RTMPS workflow instead.
